I dunno about you /synth/, but today was pretty exciting. This arrived

I wanna buy a synth and start a synthwave project

is microkorg a good one?

Behringer Poly D

are you getting a new synth with your $1200 stimulusbux? Erebus v3 for me.

My friend just got one of those. He loves it.

Varigate 8+ and a couple utilities if I get it.

do i pull the trigger on the moog dfam senpai

Its great for a starter. Covers a lot of ground and doesnt really pigeonhole you into one particular sound. Sounds badass through the right pedals.

Always user. Always pull the trigger. Expand the palette.

I’ve been rearranging my case trying to get power/video synch issues straight. still havnt even powered it in on yet...almost there

My friend always complains about that when he gets a new module. Is audio guys got it easy apparently. got it easy apparently. Also: etsy.me/2Ix7dEw

yeah you gotta run rca cables between certain modules to synch up video signals, turns out some of the digital modules are sensitive to their place in “line”. getting all that to fit behind the modules can be tricky too and they tend to need more clean power than typical audio modules...dirty power you might not notice with audio but it will distort a video image. speaking of power, tubes demand insane amounts of power. With all this free time I reracked my tube euro setup...

Remember:
The more knobs = the smaller your penis is

remember only faggot’s care about the size of other man’s penis

buy a monologue instead

Sounds like something a small peen would say.

2x behringer td-3
1x behringer neutron
2x behringer pro-1
1x behringer k2
1x behringer model d

well well looks like all is not plug and play

I'm also getting a model D

should i get a Prophet 6 or an OB-6?

Attached: 1DFFCF78-D1DF-4635-A96C-197274E2DE67.jpg (4032x3024, 2.03M)

How is the heat profile with all those tube modules?

Those are two very different sounding synths. Listen to demos and choose. They both are great. If you are going desktop i would say ob6, if keyboard go with the prophet 6. The step record function on the keyboard is everything for the p6

>6 Posters

lmao

>he considers synthposters to be "people"

you can tell you’re sitting next to 32 vacuum tubes, but the tubes only get warm to the touch, panels get a little warm too but neither is gonna burn you or melt a patch cable that is likely going to wind up resting on them.

also, memory palace is pretty good

>If you are going desktop i would say ob6, if keyboard go with the prophet 6
definitely desktop, i don't have the space for a huge keyboard. I'm looking for something with a Boards of canada-vibe, so i'm guessing the OB-6 might be the better option anyway.

are diy midi controllers /synth/ enough to be posted here
this one has 3 knobs, a 32 key button matrix and 4 more joystick style pots from a flight controller

Attached: arduino_midi.jpg (3176x2248, 1.28M)

What sort of mixers are you guys using?

I just want a sub phatty so bad, bros. Maybe with the 1200 dollars I can get it :)

Attached: sub phatty 2.jpg (275x183, 11.15K)

lets go

Attached: bone museum.jpg (246x205, 6.45K)

I'll get the Korg NTS-1 for a start. Next will be Mother 32, I guess.

using a small yamaha cant recall the model 124 something, mc124? either that one or the other one thats pretty bulky, 70s yamaha pro rack, its amazing, got input transformers and inductor based EQ, top shit.

planning on diying myself a tube mixer for extra wool.

I'm a noob in this and will soon be getting a behringer ms1. Is there a way to sync the sequencer/arpegiator tempo with the tempo from my daw? Via midi I would assume?

How do I Trannyrack /synth/? What should a beginners Eurorack look like?

lol poor fag

>What should a beginners Eurorack look like?
This gentleman offers advice in a three-part series. It might be enlightening to watch: youtube.com/watch?v=Ta0l8KqTrb8

I can't wait for the behringer modular gear to hit the market

>What does a beginners eurorack look like
Volcas.

NTS-1 is cool but it's limited as a synth without MIDI input. It makes a good effects processor though.

it does have MIDI in. You would need one of those MIDI to jack adapters.

Attached: nts1.png (1200x799, 889.71K)

Yes. That is if you use no computer. If you use a PC you can just plugin a microUSB cable into the computer and install some Korg drivers. That's what I've done with mine.

rooting for you sub fatty bro

midi via usb

so what’s everyone making music with today?

What is that?

A guitar.
Cheaper.
Easier.

>Cheaper.
You can get a Volca for $150
>Easier.
You can get a Volca
>Better.
Matter of taste. You could get a Volca.

And now they want to offer a free escher sketch with purchase of a memory palace? Damn.

I know, $500 module for free. I just bought my memory palace last week too....to feel better I’m telling myself I couldn’t fit it in the case anyways :(

you should totally get a Sony PVM CRT broadcast monitor for that retro video vibe. They're definitely not cheap as the retro gaming scene has driven up prices but I'm sure you can afford one.

He could probably get any CRT Monitor in place. CRT monitors still have a sharpness to it that CRT TVs don't.
