According to studies, very few music university graduates still make music after graduating, why is this the case?

Is there any good posts on the best recordings of each Wagner opera? I've listened to Keilberth a million times for the ring cycle and really like Solti and Bayreuth/Knappertsbuch for Parsifal. Is there anything else I should try?

How do you organize your music, bros? Alphabetically? By era? By instrument? I'm going to LOSE MY SHIT
You could write all the parameters in the filename so you can sort the files on the fly by searching for parameters. Or achieve the same with metadata, but that's often a pain to keep in order. On top of that you could have some sort of hierarchy, whatever you like really. For example
era -> composer by birth date -> opus number
Carson Butler
The only labels needed when organizing music are based and unbased

If anything the USSR wasnt oppressing to artists but liberating, there they got to make nationalistic and beautiful music which is really what any sane man wants, in the west they would be bullied by douchebags like Boulez and (((professors)))) to write ugly and soulless music.
This is just as good itt as it was in the previous

Evening fellas, i'm absolutely obsessed with pierrot lunaire right now, the restless jumpiness and slashy attacks of the composition and the decidedly nocturnal vibe. Whats some more stuff that sounds like this, is there a style where much sounds like this?
Why are there no good European performers anymore? All the best interpreters right now are Slavs, Jews, Canadians and Asians, it's crazy it's like a list of Untermensch straight out of Goering but these people are beating Europeans at their own game. What gives?
I'm just wondering whether people tend to enjoy both

jazz is just ambient music for soiboys

If jazz is the absolute best black people can do... I must say I'm not impressed.

Mozart's, Bach's, Wagner's... All of them are my work too. They are made by my people.

Jazz is good. The anons itt bemoaning it are Yas Forumslacks if their responds doesn’t already convey that to you. They’re just resentful virgins who would proudly laud jazz outloud if it got them pussy.
That said, post-bop is the most interesting and best kind of jazz. Fusion is garish, and hard bop gets boring quickly. Free jazz is more performance art than music.
Nolan Bailey
that was the case only until Stalin and never again

Deffinitive list of best Wagner Recordings: Flying Dutchman: Pinchas Steinberg Lohengrin: Semyon Bychkov Tännhauser: Daniel Barenboim Tristan and Isolde: Karl Böhm Ring Cycle: Bernard Haitink Meistersinger: Wolfgang Sawallisch Parsifal: Rafael Kubelik
Trust me I'm the world's biggest Wagnerfag

personally i find it boring and style over substance. it can be a great experience live. but i would never buy an actual recording of it to listen at home.
Easton Powell
I love some of it but I will forever remain a tourist I guess. I only love the most acclaimed works (A Love Supreme, Ascension, Brilliant Corners, Kind of Blue, yadda yadda yadda) but I could never get too deep into the genre, eventually it just all sounds the same to me, even works that are known to be very good. I still appreciate the genre even if I don't really understand most of it.
Hunter Martinez
You got any suggestions for filmed productions? I'm a different user, and quite new to Wagner. Only seem the Centenary Ring with Boulez so far and listened to a few different recordings of it (though none in full).
>got to make nationalistic [...] music which really is what any sane man wants This is your brain on Yas Forums
Mason Richardson
Yeah ofc, I love it. Like I said, I've heard pretty much all the tourist-core jazz, but past that I don't really like most of it.
Jace Baker
>style over substance In music style is substance. These aren’t books, you can’t seperate the two. What’s the difference between substance and style in music.

I did have a list on my old phone which was fucking stolen but I do remember Horst Stein's Parsifal to be the definitive video production of it. Haven't watched any filmed productions of Wagner in a long time though. Also check out the filmed Lohengrin with Domingo. Meistersinger has a bunch of DVDs and they're all good. The ones by Jurowski and again by Horst Stein are both great.
Ryder Williams
Yes. His Tristan is also good.
Blake Peterson
All right, I'll write those names down. Thanks, user! I'll probably give Tannhäuser a shot this weekend.

think of a sentence with too many adjectives, or a steak with too much seasoning. style strikes but substance moves

How many sessions does it take you to get through a whole wagner opera? For me, its 4-5.
