Can we talking about this masterpiece?
Can we talking about this masterpiece?
No
Plant
Nah
Nicely meme’d
I'm really into fagpop, but I wasn't too hot on this tbhwyfam.
Of course literally everyone else loves this album except Yas Forums
Why am I pretending to be surprised
It's a 6 at best. Gives you energy with an unoriginal neo-80s esque of what's already been done.
I was thinking the same thing Carly Rae Jepson this shit ages ago and she did it better
We don't need the 2020s to be infested with 80s nostalgia when the 2010s were full of it already.
No, dude. It's pretty much shit.
I'm not saying that because I hate pop, I fucking love pop. Charlie XCX killed it and I still bump her album every other day while exercising. This one just falls flat with short songs that don't have much development at all, just straight up verse and chorus; hardly any bridges or interludes.
Some of her older songs like New Rules and One Kiss are amazing. I really wanted to like this one, but nah. I'm going to pass.
It's my genuine opinion as someone who likes a lot of similar music, sorry nigga.
People have been doing 80s nostalgia for literally 25 years
not this shit again
we have been constantly
but yes, we can talk more about it
it's GOD tier
still waiting on the vinyl rip
There’s not a single thread about it. Fuck off.
Look, I’m never going to listen to this shit.
there have been 4 threads in the past 2 days
your loss, homeboy
I'm not gay, and i don't like gay people. Can i like this album?
are you retarded?
occasionally four threads an hour
yes, it's 98% straight
new flac upload is up as of today
twice the bitrate of the flac leak
What about the 2%
I’m serious I really really really hate gays
>DID A FULL 180
>CRAZY
doesn't 180 already inply she did a full circle??
One of the lyrics in a song where she's talking to an apparent ex is "met her" implying Dua is now dancing with a woman and loving her
That's the only gay part I can think of
GUESS I NEVER HAD A LOVE LIKE THIS
HIT ME HARDER THAN I EVER EXPECT-ED
Everytime this shit gets posted the best thing on the thread is Dua Lipa being sexy on webms
I KNOW YOU AREN'T USED TO A FEMALE ALPHA
it's shocking what a banger Physical is every time it comes up on the record
I like it. It's not as obviously neo-70s/neo-80s due to its more dominant contemporary factors like prominent low end and a heavier, minimal aesthetic. Physical and Love Again are my favs. Not a fan of the lyrics though I honestly never was on any of her stuff.
I don't see this comparison. Carly's sound is more laid back and lush. Also seen people compare to to Weeknd but he's also more laid back lush and edges towards rnb/soul. Future Nostalgia is more upbeat and minimal.
Nothing wrong with revisiting old styles and putting newer touches on them. See Shostakovich, D'Angelo, or the entire Elephant 6 catalog.
There is merit to conciseness in music though. To use that same Charli album, it feels like quantity over quality to me and while the production's great it lacks the ear for vocal melodies that exists on Future Nostalgia.
Music for 15 year old girls.
she’s a literal Pinterest urban outfitters mood-board come to life. Her entire thing was focus grouped then cross-referenced then workshopped then focus grouped again.
Dua Lipa got handpicked by warner Bros because they didn't have a big pop female act. They put a lot of mnet behind her and manufactured this pop star.
Tbh this girl got really lucky, its the dream of almost every single teen to become a pop star. Im sure she put a lot of effort in it as well, but its painfully obvious how manufactured by a team of producers and songwriters this is. Yes i know, its a record company pop product. Mu shilling it made me have higher hopes.
i'm listening right now it's decent but I'm enjoying it more thinking about how hot she is that definitely helps
of course you are, and of course it does. they wouldn't have an ugly girl sing music like this.
