Hope you're as well as can be in these strange times..
Glad to see these threads are back again, exciting news to share but better if I keep it on the downlow for now..
We're reaching out to a growing list of DJs, musicians, artists, content creators, venues (and more!) on April 1st and were wondering if there's anyone else you feel should be on that list.
>go to clubs best advice go see a dj you like you'll hear something new everytime, also local artists doing openings&closings you might find some nice stuff youtu.be/Mpq5VI1p8vo

Listen to fresh mixes in soundcloud, mixcloud, subfm, whatever, discover something exciting which you never heard before, get track id (sometimes by asking author or others via comments), then find this release on discogs and browse other releases from same artist and same label.
Tbh I feel bad about all this stuff being so dancefloor dependant. Isn't it obvious than many relevant artists have much much more to say than just dancefloor-oriented tunes? Moreover, they are saying it, but they have to do it in tricky ways like having multiple tracks on release with some of them will be for general listening, but others should be bangers to satisfy DJs who are only buying it to drop in their sets in clubs. Also by suggesting to go to clubs to discover tunes, you effectively cutting out anything which is not dance-oriented, because it will not be played in clubs.
>because it will not be played in clubs you'd be surprised, don't agree with that part there's always some standout tunes it's not about being a banger it's about how it's brought into the set. Heard plenty of different genres while clubbing (even non-dance stuff)
Tbh clubbing has changed so much over the last 5-10 years.
Sadly got swamped by normies and normies who thought they weren't. Not to mention packing clubs so it became less about the dancing.
The future? There's a lotta empties in London (and elsewhere, but I'm currently here)
If enough people get their shit together (Kickstarter, big ambitions, using Discord responsibly) to create a crew there is a way to get buildings (with permission) rent-free.
Why I'm saying all this is because there are countless artists with awesome sounds, but then don't really know how to navigate today's climate, so..
bleep is about underground edm. edm stands for electronic DANCE music. it's not rocket science. to have a scene, you have to have nights. to have nights, you have to have music that you can dance to.

how long have you been on Yas Forums even before going by s/t?
Yeah, but would be really cool if there was some alternative model. Because when this whole thing is a de facto standard, it makes all of this music strictly associated with clubbing, dance, and junkies, while it deserves so much more. I'm mostly listening to it while playing videogames, and holy moly, you can't even imagine how good some adventurous deep dubs go with atmospheric fantasy and scifi games. Yet no one ever uses this music in videogames because people are used to think all this electronic shit is for drugged club freaks.
