Hello /gg/
I am usually not a pedal guy, I have some. Usually however I have been using only one on a regular basis, my compressor.
However, I've built my first ever pedalboard: Behringer Tuner - Crybaby - Marshall Edward Compressor - Self Built Hi Gain Hot Rodded Plexi 80ies whatever Pre Amp - EHX Small Clone Chorus - Behringer DD600 Delay
I'm not too proud of the Behringer stuff, but my old delay is not working and because of Corona I cannot get any spare parts at this time.
The problem with this setup is, that I have a massive loss of treble and upper mids. I know that the crybaby is not true bypass and that there may be some sucker in the chain, but I cannot find it. The patch cables are short and my guitar cables are really nice Fender ones, I really like them. As soon as I plug the pedalboard in, the tone is bad (with all effects off). Any advice on finding the tonesucking component?
Fernandes Super Grade LP clone with Burstbuckers and Hughes & Kettner Edition Tube 20 (stock speaker swapped for a 1980 Celestion G12-80) and above pedalboard.
Sorry, I forgot. I have done that of course. The problem really seems lie in the combination of the effects. I have enough parts at home to build a buffer, but is that even worth the try?
Adam Allen
Unfortunatly, also because of Corona in my country, I cannot measure L or C. I only have a simple ohm-/voltmeter available.

>and my guitar cables are really nice Fender ones,
"Cheap" guitars have become really nice instruments in the last few years. Don't listen to arsehats who brag about expensive shit. Don't get me wrong, I like some expensive shit. But I would always prefer a well setup Squire to a factory Gibson. As for the amp: If you are happy, everything is ok, else get a nice speaker and the world changes in favour of you. Speakers are quite inexpensive and have a big impact on the sound.

Oh so that was sam.

not a hard one but House of the Rising sun is a fun blues jam.
yea i know. i put new pups in the tele. this things shreds. I remember growing up cheep guitars were trash. now its like 250$ and it plays and feels like the 700-800 copy it is of. But yea i do agree once you get into the upper echelons of of expensive guitars their is no comparison. I really really want a custom shop SG.

Currently waiting for Aristides to do a Headless run so I can buy one.
But I do agree, as far as quality is concerned things have changed for the best in the past 20 years.

Back there it's my nylon classical guitar. Do you guys like it?
How so?
Ohms is impedance idiot. Too many and the cable starts acting like a tone pot
Funnily enough that headstock looks good on their Mandolin. The Guitar one would just need to be a touch wider to look good.
