A hipster faggot but for '80s shredders. You probably get laid plenty but exclusively with fat airheaded chicks.

Awful. The worst part is you undoubtedly think you're cool and alternative.

*tips fedora*

Stop parroting Rolling Stone magazine and actually listen to some albums you faggot.

Stop whining that your dad doesn't love you.

the guitar parts he came up with are really cool, very influential tbqh

Fucking boomers don’t know about Tim Henson and Will Swan.

Welcome to the new age, faggots.

Also sad with the lack of Zappa, Robert Fripp and Carlos Santana appreciation

Does anyone even listen to blues?

my favorite guitarist

>You also forgot Eric Clapton
nope.

I don't really have a favorite guitarist, but Syu from Galneryus has great skills. He gets a bit repetitive but he's underrated

Kinda why I posted this to discover more guitarists

IMO Trey is the most inventive guitarist out there. All his best stuff just has so much direction to it, everything goes somewhere interesting, insane attention to detail, his work with feedback and effects is super creative too. He's nowhere near the best as far as like, speed goes though.

youtu.be/9DUhX_x5GeU?t=298

^^ real good example of how creative he can get with feedback and a 1/2 step whammy pedal

I don't know this guy but after watching a compilation of his solos, you're probably just after the kind of neo-classical shred stuff that Shrapnel Records was pumping out in the mid-late '80s. Try early Yngwie, Paul Gilbert with Racer X, Joey Tafolla, Tony MacAlpine, Vinnie Moore etc.

Japs thrive on all that shit because unlike the West, grunge and alt. rock never took off in the mainstream so in the mid '90s there, it was still bands like Mr. Big and Extreme ruling the mainstream rock charts, not stuff like Pearl Jam and Gin Blossoms.

lol imagine sitting around the house unironically listening to muzak

Yea I know all those guitarist! I think guitarist from Japan just have a big emphasis on melody in general, and I still believe players from Japan are some of the best in the world right now. (in metal at least because that's all I know)
I find them really creative, it's too bad a lot of them barely gets ouside Asia

Attached: wallhaven-8348.jpg (1654x2402, 1.12M)

Kinda hope nu-metal ends so we can have a better rock era in the west

if by sitting around the house listening to muzak you mean tripping your balls off at a high energy psych rock show than you've got it right.

For real though, that show is really mellow cuz it was played in Japan in small venues. Phish is about as USA as it gets.

Alrighty and based

Based yet still wheezingpilled

>The Grunge God
BASED AF

Absolutely based

Actually came here to mention Frank. One of the most idiosyncratic players out there, within the first few notes you knew who was playing and when he wasn't making completely absurd music and let his sentimental side take over it was magic...I really wish we saw more of this side of his playing.
