So close to being a 10/10 album but Boys Will Be Boys and Pretty Please ruined it.

yeah it's a retarded cumbrain track shamelessly tacked on to the end of an otherwise fantastic concept record in order to make people laugh? i don't know what the purpose of it is really. i skip the last 2 songs every time i listen to the album now and it's great.

8/10 Physical, Don't Start Now and Love Again were my favourites. For some reason I still don't get Cool, but I think that Good in Bed wasn't that bad. Boys' problem is that it's too repetitive and low-energy, not its boring inoffensive message. Anyone offended by this is a sensitive faggot drama queen

Yeah it is pretty light I suppose, works perfectly before Physical though.

The first half of the album is really great, the second half is spotty. The opener was good, and felt like it was decent tone setter for the album and Don't Start Now offers a very disco bassline with a more modern pop bridge. Cool is probably the first dip in quality but it's still maybe a 6/10 track, I could see this being the radio hit. Physical is a fucking dancefloor bop and is fantastic. Levitate is also really good, with great voice work from Lipa. Pretty Please and Hallucinate are mediocre and just uninteresting. Love Again and Break My Heart are the two best on the second half, but compared to the first they're really only better than Cool so about 7/10 for each. Good in Bed is not good but not as egregious as the following song Boys will be boys. What in the hell was this song? It's like it belonged on a different album. Thematically it's so shallow, who's only point is "Girls good and strong, Boys stupid and lame", of which has been featured on so many of the latest pop albums that it's becoming tired at this point, but being original is usually not the strong point of pop music so I won't deride it too much there. Sonically it's not like anything previously heard on the album, and features Lipa's laziest performance if you can even call it that.
Overall if it weren't for the hit or miss nature of the second half I'd give it between a 7 or 8/10, as is it's more between 6 or 7.
