Really cool, weird and dark sound, I dig it.
Maybe I would make them progress a little faster, meaning I would make the new musical ideas arrive faster, but that's just my cup of tea.

RECS:
The instrumentals are fantastic . The vocals are a bit hard to hear but other than that it's great
I like the off kilter synths you have going through the track, pairs well with the driving drums. It feels hard
This is dope! I love the leading synth melody going with this. I would mix the bell like synth louder cause I feel like it’s getting drowned out in the overall mix
Pretty dope, a lot of ideas going on here. I love your reverbed voice in this.

Hey thanks for the feedback! Yeah the bells was more of a last moment decision to lower them to give more emphasis to the main instruments.
I really love that beat by the way man, I can see definitely someone rapping over it.
Could you review this one too please?

I think this could be improved with a lot of EQing and what not to bring out each instrument's flavour.
Needs to be longer cuz I love it.
Listened to Colin and loved it. Just same as above a bit of EQing to cut out some of the muddiness, unless that's the sound you're going for of course.
Ooh this is dope. I fuck with this a lot. Love how you chopped and flipped the vocal samples all through the beat. Your kicks and snares great throughout this but it’s very fleeting. Needs to be a longer groove with them. This is just a great beat and I really fuck with it. Heavy rec

Thank you very much man! I see what you're saying about the groove, my drums tend to be boring and only now I'm trying to mix them up in the 2nd or 4th bar.
No prob man. I had the same issue and I’m still trying to work on it. One thing I’ve found to be helpful is to make like 2-3 variations of the main drum pattern and then spread them throughout the track so it you get some variety

I'm doing a cover series in my own lo-fi punk rock style. The songs I've recorded are of similar amateur production value. Feedback? Workin thru the thread now, will give feedback directly through soundcloud unless you post some other link.
First time ov'e mixed a shoegaze track.

Oh god this is bad. What the fuck were you trying to make?
I like how you managed to take the worst genres in music and fuck them up even more. Who'd have thought all you had to do was glaze your shitty track with autotune to make it into a whole different abomination.

RECS
love how dark this is, i think the vocal style around 2 mins fits the song best
it really is like bedroom country, and its done really well, guitars & vocals sound good and fit the mood very well
Godamn, you are the michael jordan of shitty rap.
Did you record this while you were driving? Shits garbage my dude. You stop and stall like your doing a shitty freestyle.
The beat doesnt start untill a minute in and when it does not much happens, just the same repetitive melody no real payoff at all.
This sounds like ass. Really repetitive.
there are some good ideas here but it could definitely develop more, maybe add some other textures in the percussion part?
I could start your song and skip to the end and i would've missed nothing. The only thing that changes in the track is your sample. If you're making music for brain damaged children, you'll go real far.
Thanks for your input, dicknuts. Why don't you get a life?
6 minutes of breathing strings so fucking boring. I don't get why you'd sink the time and effort (all 5 minutes of it) into this white girl meditation track.
Quarantined. I thought you guys wanted feedback, ego stroking is going to cost you.
you should work with an engineer to carve out your vocal sound, just having autotune doesn't work imo
You're not giving feedback you're just trolling because you're bored. Hence my suggestion to get a life.
Wooo what a hot piece of trash! Autotune is already the gayest thing since pink dicks and you've somehow managed to make it even gayer. Even without the autotune this is just some generic ass rap done terribly. Nothing here sets you apart, you're not doing anything differently.
No no trolling all this is genuine, notice how I'm not mentioning the good music?
There's a bit too much distance between the vocals and beat in the mix imo. You have a nice voice though.
All right well you clearly just want to get into it with people over the internet so enjoy your last feeding from this user.

rec.
it sounds like a advanced version of like odd future beats from the 2010s, the vocals are a lil hit or miss because the ghostly singing vocals don't really match
beat is cool, but please work on your rapping because it sounds so sloppy and it sounds like a freestyle at the lunch table because you're just making stuff up as it goes
the autotune doesn't match at all, the lyrics would be catchy if the vocals weren't going up and down every three seconds
you're not giving feedback, you're just criticizing without giving any reccomendations
andy warhol over here
maybe make better music then.
What the fuck is feedback without criticism?
No getting into it with someone is a bonus but no objectively all the tracks I listed are garbage. Sucks that you got offended maybe listen to better music?
you gotta feel the beat, try rockin your head with it or something as you rap
This guy shares alot of my opinion, is he also just trolling?
What the fuck is feedback without any reccomendations to improve?
>CORONAVIRUS FREESTYLE made for sex in hazmat suits
idk you tell me, dumbass
Criticism.
Ok, no it's not. Are you new to the english language do you understand the concept of a comeback?
if you don't want anyone to break your fragile confidence then stop posting your shit in the thread if you're not gonna take any criticism at all, you post your shit here for people to check out and you gotta be open to people not liking it. you're honestly just embarrassing yourself
To expand on this:
This is exactly what reddit is for go shill there if you're looking for a safe space.
>feedback thread
>it's all from genres I'm not a fan of
>can't provide meaningful feedback
Feels bad
From what I've seen, Leddit is usually harsher than Yas Forums. Just compare the way imbred is treated here and there
What he's trying to say is that your critiques only contain 1 variable, the track is either shit or not.
It would be cool (although you can't be forced to) if you and anyone else critiquing like this, gave a more multidimensional explanation as to why sth is shit (aka for this and that reason).
It has nothing to do with hearing bad reviews or needing a safe space I think...
If you've listened to Imbred you know exactly why he gets shit on, he spammed his shit on Reddit
>if you've listened to imbred
I have.
we don't all have time to write a paragraph essay about why something doesn't sound right, but i mentioned of how his rapping sounding sloppy and things were being made up on the fly instead of being planned ahead
