It was one I saw on here. Wish I had a blank one for you.

Are those grilled cheeses or grilled egg & cheese sandwiches. Either way, good stuff.
And the translation I use is the John Ciardi version. It covers all 3 poems and stays relatively faithful to the original while providing some pretty neat notes and references.

>getting into Bowie
It depends.
I'd recommend listening to Ziggy Stardust if you're into glam rock, Low if you are into krautrock and Station to Station.

those are grilled cheeses. the Ciardi translation seems quite popular, though I've seen that others seem to be considered better.

I fucking love swans but I was never a huge fan of post-rock. Soundtracks for the blind is alright but it's one of my least favorite albums by them. Godspeed again is just alright imo. I had someone rec me Gas - Pop the other day and it was a pretty cool listen. as far as favorites, chocolate milk is based and those buns look alright.
you have like the second best album from every artist lmao. but you know what? you have a based taste. especially grandaddy, you rarely hear anyone mention them on here. based virginiabro, but you're losing some points for that porn
holy money is very based, industrial era swans is the best swans. deathconsciousness is cool as is the ascension. Minecraft is great and water is extremely based.
Meet the residents is pretty based, those sandwiches look fucking delicious and water again is the based nutritious choice.
Smiths st is great, twin fantasy depends on the version. I'm a delusional puritan so I'll only listen to the original. Disintegration is a great album. based vidya and based book.

Early industrial/No-Wave Swans are the best

Why don't you read books? There's plenty of interesting topics to explore out there.

Also, read a book user

+The Residents

What movies have you enjoyed in general? I'll try to recommend some

+The Black Saint And The Sinner Lady, Pizza

Recs: The Shape of Jazz to Come

+Herbie, Kate Bush, Porn

Recs (You probably heard of these already): Wheather Report, Chick Corea, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Late Miles Davis

+Taxi Driver, Dostoevsky

Same as I've only read Notes From Underground by Dostoevsky but currently trying to get into more Russian literature

Attached: 1576658158524.png (1999x1896, 3.08M)

Neat, I bet studying entomology would be a pretty rad career.

I used to read a bunch when I was younger but my increasingly short attention span has made it much harder to read without spacing out every minute

Attached: EEEE.png (1999x1896, 3.24M)

>What movies have you enjoyed in general?
the only movies I've watched were children's animated films when I was younger and nearly nothing else. i've watched some newer films but they didn't really do much for me. Judging from what i didn't like, I would probably like films that aren't just action for the sake of it and aren't just fantastical stories about some sort of cinematic universe (Marvel stuff, Star Wars, etc.). I've looked through the rym film charts and I know some of the more popular weird/artsy/cult-classic movies (The Stranger, Blade Runner, The Holy Mountain, Satantango), so I was just going to start with those, as I feel I would like artsy stuff more, and see what I like to figure out what else to watch. I'm planning on watching Blade Runner sometime soon.

probably lonely and introverted but would be chill to hang out with
music seems quite artsy. haven't watched it but I've heard from some friends that Lain is a very good anime

>Chick Corea
Love it
>Late Miles Davis
Good stuff

Never heard Mahavishnu Orchestra. I'll give them a listen. Thanks.

> would probably like films that aren't just action for the sake of it

Children of Men by Alfonso Cuarón
Come and See by Elem Klimov

These use some action but they're use that in the sense of immersing you into the situations

>aren't just fantastical stories about some sort of cinematic universe

Pan's Labyrinth by Del Toro comes to mind as far as fantastical stories

>I feel I would like artsy stuff more

Breathless by Jean-Luc Godard
A Woman Under the Influence by John Cassavetes
Enter the Void by Gaspar Noé (Warning, his stuff is pretty transgressive)
Tree of Life by Terrance Malick (Most of his films are good)
Gummo by Harmony Korine
8 1/2 by Federico Fellini
I like a lot of the films by Yorgos Lanthimos
Lars von Trier is a hit or miss to me
It’s Such a Beautiful Day by Don Hertzfeldt
I personally like Jodorowsky's earlier works like El Topo, Holy Mountain is great too
Micheal Haneke is also pretty good

Those are what comes to mind.

>Mahavishnu Orchestra
I think you'll like them. Member's that were in Davis' works like Bitches Brew and On The Corner are in the band.

>doesn't fill in half the chart
literal fucking meme, please never post again

My goodness, thanks for all the recs! I'm definitely saving all of these, I really appreciate the help.

i never said anybody had shit taste, or that my taste was good, i simply stated that there wasn't a single album i liked in the thread, and i didn't fill in most of the chart because i didn't have anything to put in those fields, i don't watch anime or movies, i don't read books either, i don't engage in any substance i would consider a drug, and i'm not putting my taste in pornography on a blue board

Ur kinda boring bru idk

>why are there so many straight edge people on Yas Forums
I am because I'm not very social in real life so I dunno where to get substances from.
Grew up with alcoholic parents so I've distanced myself from alcohol in general.
