Post what you're looking for in feedback. Be specific if possible. GIVE feedback to GET feedback.
Post WIP's on Clyp.it or Vocaroo
DO NOT link to Soundclouds, Bandcamp, or YouTube etc- there are dedicated threads for posting them and anything resembling self promotion will result in bad feedback.
Reposting from last thread. If I don't get an answer that's fine, I won't repost again. -- Probably too much of a longshot, but I must try. Somebody has posted a .flp file in the official FL Studio forums... which I can't access because I'm a filthy pirate. If anyone here happens to have a legitimate copy and would be so kind so as to download and reupload the file anywhere, it would be greatly appreciated: forum.image-line.com/download/file.php?id=71585 Thanks. For anyone curious, it's a recreation of the Chariots of Fire theme.
clyp.it/vochauu5 havent produced in a while let me know what i should change with this to improve
Wyatt Gray

How can I make hats jump in the mix? Sort of like this: clyp.it/wvrzybxm
Ryder Howard
wtf you mean jump its not a kangaroo
that guy has the swing button cranked all the way up or theyre sequenced in triplets i.e. shuffled
William Martin
do you think hes using a low pass filter on them?
Evan Thomas
it sounds like the whole drum kit is on the same bus and either has some sort of low pass EQ on it or maybe some lo-fi filter to make it sound all muffled
Connor Bell
At least in ableton, hold shift (I believe it was ctrl in versions before 10)
How do you guys write melodies that aren’t stuck in 4 or 8 bar? I feel like being able to see the 4/8 bar markers in Fl studio is a detriment, since Im having this ocd where I want my melody to fit in perfectly to the bar. Example of my melody: clyp.it/okdzqp02
Kontakt: >Time machine (good) >Time machine pro (the exact same thing with less parameters)
why do developers do this shit, it's two fucking knobs
Grayson Martin
>clyp.it/z0sspjjm find a better kick. find a better sub. find another snare. all of those, and probably the entire thing aside from the sawtooth synth thing, sound like they were pulled from a stock drum kit. use higher quality sounds
Jacob Martin
hahaha holy fuck, didn't expect to see something like this here i've been to """"parties"""" where they play this kind of synth (or arranger like korg kronos) it fucking sucks :D usually there is a female singer (gypsy with huge tits) that sings awful and climbs the table so that guests can touch her with their greasy fingers :D
Josiah Brooks
forgot to mention; it usually happens at balkan village parties
Charls is cute, as for your music though man. I like the idea. But the music is all over the place, perhaps your samples arent mixing like you want them to? You need to cut that harsh noise either all together or earlier. Never change or improve an idea, if its not good straight off the bat begin another idea. Its not bad, I'd get rid of that lead eventually Stop being autistic Good energy, i think you need to keep it in tune and change the synth.
>I can't be the only one here That’s the majority of people here buddy That’s bad, practice
>Beg for replies and respond to everybody Pathetic
Hudson Cruz
Aburrrr music is ded ahurrrrrr Motherfucker if music is dead then why the fuck are you here? Are you a necrophile? Who killed music? How do you kill music? When did it die? Why is it dead. What killed it? Get out of your bubble and find some new shit, your enthusiasm is the only thing thats dead.
Eli Adams
>autistically respond to a shitpost Lurk you fucking faggot
Xavier Davis
>doesnt reply with criticism or feedback >doesn't realise that the 'begging' is actually an internet me me Apathetic
Jackson Bailey
It's not a shitpost user, there is a large amount of people on here that believe this.
Evan Rodriguez
Fuck you dude, what a shit way to reply to someone that did you all a service. Do you spit in you're waiters face after they give you coffee and then start cussing them out for doing this to everyone else? Bite the hand that feeds you, this whole board needs a cleansing. Luckily its already here.
if you cant identify shitposts by now youre the retard
Justin Adams
>perhaps your samples arent mixing like you want them to? there aren't any samples. i've already updated this track a couple times today but i dont know what you mean.
Dominic Walker
Well then the instruments arent blending. I could have sworn this was a legend of Zelda OST sample user, I apologize.
Justin Sullivan
Yeah, it was a literal 'shit' post, at least your admitting how crappy it was.
hmmm. im re-learning mixing tonight so maybe I can fix it the habit before my next project. i need monitors to fully rid the habit. at the moment I can only mix on headphones and check the export later in my car. thanks for the feedback as always
Nicholas Taylor
No its not the mixing bro, listen to what I mean when the genres you are presenting here don't blend. My advice? Dump the track and start another one. You've over-worked this track and will only ruin it more. The original idea is stronger than the hundredth. Part of being a producer or artist is learning when an idea is either too far gone or not fargone enough.
Michael Evans
And let me add, that track I posted has been an idea that I have used over and over. In terms of actually executing such idea, I only have like 2 drafts before that version I posted. I used to make hundreds of drafts/saves and it fucks things up, you lose the idea, it becomes muddy and lost.
Cooper Roberts
why not just get a midi, i'm sure there's one out there
you somehow managed to make an even cringier post than the the one you responded to, amazing
Ian Barnes
samefag
Adam Howard
I'm pretty sure dubbi was trying to steal a song of mine that sounds similar, so watch out.
Carson Powell
just let it go, i'm not gonna attack you based on your taste in DAW's (though i should) but come on man you don't need that .flp
Daniel Howard
when you're right, you're right. thanks bro who is dubbi. desu I don't like it that much anyway. I can make 5 more tomorrow that sound better. fuck that nigga
Tyler Gutierrez
Cringe Based
Michael Wright
>who is dubbi Lucky you.
Angel Bailey
No worries man, theres a lot of potential in each person and I cannot stand seeing them making mistakes that cancel out said potential.
Noah Harris
tripfag? I only post here. this board is indescribable; there are always 3-5 kpop threads at the top of the catalogue that's why I'm glad you're here. you deleted your clyp before I got to listen to it btw
Samuel Sullivan
>Asks who dubbi is >quips instead of answering
Robert Stewart
and mind you Yas Forumss kpop fascination didn't take off until after I started /prod/ucing like 6 years ago
I figured this might be a good place to ask... So I listen to a lot of music but I know jackshit about actually producing. Let's say I want to make some style of Hardcore EDM/Speedcore or Jungle/D'n'B (vague examples at the end of the post) with heavy sampling, what kind of equiment or PC programs should I look into? I imagine software is enough these days but it doesn't hurt to know about actual equipment. Any budget is fine.
Ableton, pirate it. Find tracks you like, remix them. Remixing teaches you how to format songs and use the DAW. Then create something like a song you'd add into an album you like. This teaches you how to create a vision and how to execute it. Youtube is your friend.
Zachary King
wait is dubbi the brazilian/portuguese cover artist? I only recently got back into /prod/ and thankfully I'm not familiar with the latest tripfags
