F

literally who, lol this isn't kenny rogers

Neck yourself. This guy is way more important than you'll ever be

REM, Ministry and King Crimson? Never been a big fan of either bands but it's very impressing to be so versatile and relevant in so completely different genres.
RIP lad!

damn, he was incredibly talented

this should be stickied, he was huge in the industrial rock scene
he played drums and a lot of other instruments in the studio on all of swans' albums from the great annihilator to the glowing man

That's a weird repertoire

F, god damn. You gotta have serious chops to drum for three bands with that different of styles.

F mods sticky

Holy shit, I like all of those bands and I had no idea they had a common member. F

F, what a fucking piece of shit this year is being

RIP Bill

rip nigga I like the bands be drummed for

He also worked with Swans and Taylor Swift
I'm not kidding. This man drummed for KC, for Taylor Swift, REM and Swans
What a chad

Fffffff

RIP, I'm speechless

Didn't know about this guy but he seems pretty badass. F

What other music artists are you expecting to be killed by the coronavirus?

It was cancer.

couldn't see him with Crimson because of his wife's death. He was truly great. F

Oh no :(((

fucking rip man

F

should have been stickied over fucking kenny rogers

Sorry pal, Kenny Rogers is more important

nobody knows who the fuck that is outside southern retirement homes

Was shocked when I heard that last night, lads. Didn't even know he was battling cancer. F

One of the all-time greats. First Neil Peart, then Paul English, now Bill Rieflin. This is a terrible year for drummers.

RIP

bump

Oh man I've always loved the drum work in Swans albums, for some reason I never made the connection that it's all one guy

Always glad to see the passing of someone who worked with a band as bad as King Fagson

So edgy

Death Angel's drummer is currently in critical condition because of it.Plácido Domingo is also infected and is 79 years old

FUCK.

F

Drummers don’t get stickies

bait

jesus christ, how many more people are going to die this year? it's only march for fuck's sake.

We say this every year

Great Annihilator will always be my favorite Swans album.
>Taylor Swift - The Last Time
Huh, small world.
I wonder how many underground musicians eventually get tapped to do session work with pop stars.

Mike Watt of Minutemen played on a Kelly Clarkson record

K.D. Lang also covered Matte Kudasai live.
Now we need to find the universe in which Taylor Swift sang for KC instead of Jakko

Holy shit this is a pretty jarring cover. Would love to see the faces of the audience that went home and found that album expecting slow country singles lol.
Also looked up the Tidal credits on that Clarkson album and some more info, apparently Watt was on six songs for the album My December but as far as I can tell two tracks went unreleased.

another soul to sustain the great lich fripp

rip

I've always held the opinion that most king crimson songs would sound better with a female singer

Which ones? Certainly none of the Lake or Wetton songs. Maybe The Night Watch.

I feel like the Lake and Belew songs wouldn't be that bad if a woman sang them. Especially Peace and the songs on Beat.

I thought that was a pic of David Byrne for a sec and my heart nearly dropped

Very sad to hear this. Fucking great musician and super nice guy. Talked to him a few times at shows. RIP, Bill :(

We don't have pandemics every year, though.
