I generally dislike limp bizkit, but I cant lie, this performance was pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good

The death of woodstock

ALSO YO THE LAST TWO DIGITS OF YOUR POST IS NOT ONLY DOUBLES

BUT TH EYEAR OF THE PERFORMANCE

OH FUCK DO IT FOR THENOOKIE

youtu.be/7x5bGHVaai0

Shit was cool as fuck back then.

What year was this? G

Name a bigger meme than live music

BREAK YOUR FUCKING FACE

Your digits are the true best Woodstock

live sports

Theres just too many people in this world. I just wanna mortor this huge colony of monkey ants with mustard gas bombs

>Looking through the performances
>oh fuck

it was like a merger of the past and present. multiple generations at one concert. Beautiful

GIVE ME SOMETHING TO RAPE

Woodstock was in the 60s idiot

NIN's performance was God Tier

BASED

Ok boomer

>meh we just did it for the money
>still sounded great

that's the difference between good and great

Primus killed that shit

they have HUGE speakers which makes it sound different, there is a croud and often iprovisation of songs that you usually dont get to hear like that
never been to festival tho

limp bizkit transcends time

Was it woodstock or the music video for Nookie where a dude shoved a giant cookie into his asscrack?

That happened?

i was a child when that song hit the world like an uppercut. and while watching tv (at home or at some electronics store, I don't know) I saw a clip of a dude (on stage) pants halfway down his butt and he poked a cookie into his buttcrack to that chorus

it has impacted my life and scared a small piece of my memory. invariably, if i hear that song, that image immediately conjures to mind

I have IBD and my constant need to shit means I will never, ever be able to enjoy a concert, let alone a festival.
Kill me, God.

Attached: CCD73BE8-6225-4774-90E2-D70314AB44C3.png (967x954, 681.88K)

further context: the dude was on stage at a concert or party venue. He did this to the crowd. I wonder what was going throguh his mind at the time.

Guess he did it all for the Nookie

nigga just liked sticking shit up his butt
also reminder that the name limp bizkit originated from a bandmember sticking his limp dick in a donut. I think he was dared to do it at a party iirc.

THE UNDERTAKER HAS RETURNED

ok Poomer

9/11 changed America for the better.

I have vague memories of Woodstock 99 coverage on MTV. I remember Carson Daly saying someone from ICP lent him a shaver; and then I remember mudflinging; and then I remember fires.

Good times.

RIP

'99, when they were at the retired AFB and vendors were charging like $5-10 for a bottle of water and it was hotter than shit
Limp Bizkit comes on and plays Break Shit and Woodstock turned into a riot

>I generally dislike limp bizkit, but I cant lie, this performance was pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good
People that say this shit like garbage like Five Finger Death Punch. They never, ever like anything good. They usually actually like whatever band they're claiming not to like. If you tolerate a Limp Bizket song then you like them more than any adult should. I'm not saying that people who dislike Limp Bizket have a high IQ, but I've never met anyone that's liked Limp Bizket that isn't a drooling retard. You too are a drooling retard.

If fashion is cyclical, can we start dressing like that again? Why hasn't nu-metal made a comeback?

what the fuck happened to Rock music? It was the multi-decadal phenomenon, and now *poof* it's nothing.I can't even name a contemporary rock band, let alone a major rock group that has mainstream appeal.

Attached: 1584514762366.png (379x579, 211.83K)

Do Americans really do this or is it just an urban myth

Get off your high horse you stupid cunt, yeah I like Swans and Radiohead too but sometimes it feels great to just listen to a “jump da fuck up” kind of song

Literally kys

John Otto's so fucking soulless. Zero swing holy shit

Poppy has literally brought it back

Isn’t nu-metal fashion just white kids dressing up like SoCal cholos?

youtube.com/watch?v=GWRmsoBXAUw

Didn't break stuff literally start a riot?

my version is probably the sanitized version I heard on MTV or some shit. I swear I heard it somewhere though
I don't know about that specific instance but white trash, specifically white trash bros are very prone to doing extremely gay shit in the name of fun, pranks, etc.

Uh oh, looks like we have someone here whom was never invited to parties :^)

I've never understood this

People accustomed to the studio age confuse their simple preference for outright distaste
Of course in most cases performed live it won't sound the same as on the record - - you to to concerts to see performances, which is an appreciation all its own. If you can't appreciate that ask yourself what it is you like.

>The who
Fuck off boomer

The way we consume music now with streaming services, the experience has become more passive. Similarly, music being produced now is primarily made to sound pretty while you walk around the supermarket.

I didn't say he was bad, just that he's soulless. Guy's as funky as U2's rhythm section.

Actually you know what the crowds going nuts in this one

it's because the mainstream changed. trends change. music like this exists because it made sense in it's era. if it happened now it would be kind of cringe in the same format.

How come you like Significant Other but not 3 dollar bill?

you

Nu metal kinda is making a comeback in the hardcore scene

youtube.com/watch?v=rpPHDdDWpms

There are still rock acts, but not as many new ones forming. Metal is still huge, and it is a rock descendant genre.

Most genres don't last forever, Rock had about 50 or so years of dominance. The spirit is still alive but it's called hip hop now.

Gen X was the last generation with balls, there’s not a single good thing to say about millennials

never taken a party bus with the hottest sluts in your high school to see what the fuck was that band again?

3 dollar bill just sucks man. John otto's drumming isnt good on that album, fred's rhymes were too much kek. Like, he's not good, and he knows it, but on 3 dollar bill, he's really trying. Plus Wes is barely Wes on that album

Attached: it's rape o'clock.gif (400x250, 2.68M)

He's right you know.

That's like asking what happened to classical/orchestral music. Technology changes, and music changes along with it. In the same way that electric amplification made it more accessible for common people to form a four piece(no need to put together a large orchestra of a hundred people), music produced entirely electronically makes it even more accessible(only need one guy with a laptop). Also, novelty in art is one of the things people look for the most, even if it's not conscious, that's why when a new technology is developed, a new tonal palette is created and audiences are drawn to it. Of course, orchestral and rock music are still around, they're just not the zeitgeist. Also, don't forget that the change didn't occur overnight, electronic music crept in slowly, just think of the post you replied to, NIN is notorious for being very studio produced, pretty much a lot of it made by Trent fucking around with computers in a studio, very much a good example of a crossover point.

Yeah, Fred was never a good mc but like you said, at least he was trying on the first album, better that than all the cheesy stuff he started coming up with

I always thought Korn was an edgy meme until I went to a concert that was double billing them and Alice in Chains. They're a fun band.

I've been to like 5 or 6 huge rock gigs in the last year, what are you talking about?

Woodstock is almost as garbage as your nigger rappers.

> it would be kind of cringe
God I fucking hate you millennials.

go to bed dad.

Do they throw out corn cobs to the audience?

Kino live performances thread

I dare you to wear a red backwards yankees hat

For me it was watching Prince perform in 2010. I hooked up with a friend I hadn't seen since highschool. I'd posted some Prince music vids on my facebook feed and he gave me a thumbs up on every one of them. Some time later ( I had over 350 friends by that time, can you imagine?) I got a dm telling me Prince was going to come to our country and if I wanted to go with him. Hadn't seen him since kindergarten. He brought two hot chicks and a bunch of weed. We got drunk too.

Prince performance was pretty shabby (by Prince standards, so it still btfo 100% of other live musicians). I had left for the shitter and drinks halfway. By the time I wanted to make my way back to my friends of the day it started to pour. I sought refuge under the nearest food stand and found my friends. Purple rain started to play, but at that point it might just as well have been a dj instead of the little man himself. We sparked up a doobie under the fish and chips stand and enjoyed the moment. I was wearing a parka and had a bag of freshly bought cherries in my pocket and a beer in my hand.

chocolate starfish and the hotdog flavored water tho

it'd just be a red yankees hat to 97% of people. Limp bizkit is so far back and irrelevant in the minds of people in the year 2020

I own several, but yeah backwards is too much

I hadn't spoken to him since kindergarten. But I'd seen him plenty in highshool.

Without me disliking rap as a kid and deciding I wanted to be more cool than the rest of the kids by listening to Hardcore Metal like Linkin Park, Slipknot, Korn and Limp Bizkit, then getting into the dad rock bands, and finally going full retard by listening to thrash, death, and black metal, I would have never had that mentality of scratching beneath the surface of whatever I just heard and trying to find harder, better and more technically sound sounds like I do nowadays.
All I listen to now is House and Techno. And I look back at those early years of my life and cringe sometimes. But occasionally, I wish I was a kid again in the early 2000s and will watch the old music vids I used to watch on the Box Music Channel. But yea, HOUSE/TECHNO The true patricians choice. And if you disagree, well, I feel bad for you.

complete midwit opinion.

he means rock is dead as a popular genre and he's right. do rock songs even break the top 40 with regularity anymore?

There are 2 bands who I would actually pay to see. But I absolutely wouldn't travel, pay the jacked up scalper prices, $12 beer, $50 T-shirt and stand shoulder to shoulder with an arena full of sweaty drunk/drugged up strangers..I don't want to see aa singer hold the mic out to the crowd or a band who plays to a backing track either. And falling for a meme-fest like coachella is just a sign of pure social acceptance desperation. You're right in 99.5% of the time. The other .5% it's cool to see a band who meshes well, can improvise and add to a song you like while still sounding like the original and has a cool visual element to bring with their musical ability..Good luck finding that though.

Also could you imagine getting bombed or shot up because you wanted to get some selfies and see ariana grande strut around on stage?

Kiedis voice is gone now, sadly. And they were never that good. Yet Frusciante has managed to give a mystic aura to himself not many musicians have.

>'99 Woodstock
Soulless
Take it from an actual Gen X poster
Even the '94 one was pretty awful aside from the Primus and Nine Inch Nails sets
I get it though, that's part your childhood

SLAVE SCREAMS

That goes along with what I was saying about technology becoming more accessible. In the 90s the equipment and technology to make electronic music was expensive and thus not accessible, hence why it wasn't as widespread. Anyone could replicate NIN's sound with a laptop nowadays, which is why you see so much of that type of bedroom producer music around.

>hence why

Why does pouring rain adds so much epicness to a performance?

Music in general is overrated. Silence is the patrician's choice of auditory experience.

>Anyone could replicate NIN's sound with a laptop nowadays
Technically anyone *could*. That doesn't mean they have the skillset to do it, let alone could create something equally as good.

Why aren't young talented people aren't making music anymore? They certainly exist, regardless of petty generation posturing. There used to be a clear pathway to making money and success in the music industry. Industry plants have always existed, of course, but over the last 20 years the industry has suffered so much at the expense online downloading/streaming, that plants are pretty much the only ones left. Why would a young talented person pursue a career in a dying industry? Might as well go into programming, where all you have to do is create a simple app or website to make your millions.

2002 kino. Good times.

korn was pretty good. Johnathan Davis is a terrible singer though. I can only listen to so much of his downs syndrome mumbling

Gen X losers. You should have left the board 10 years ago.

kinostock right there

Cinema.

imagine the smell

i have ibs and social anxiety because of this and I can feel your pain

Not even their best gig in '92

t. American

I cant believe anyone believe that is "energy". it's the lamest argie crowd i have seen. Megadeth 2005 was way better. Butr still, is nowhere near kino.

But this video in brazil is pure kino and pure crowd control.

I almost never listen to them anymore but, if you can get past Fred Durst's vocals, Limp Bizkit's first two albums are actually pretty good.
and yes, my music taste is absolutely patrician.

The very last performance of Sex Pistol was a sad kino.

>The entire band was in shambles - Johnny Rotten was suffering from flu and coughing up blood, Sid Vicious' heroin problem rampant as ever, he's barely conscious and exceptionally awful at playing base. They closed the tshow with Stooges cover, "No Fun". At the end of the song, Rotten, kneeling on the stage looking completely defeated, chanted an unambiguous declaration, "This is no fun. No fun. This is no fun—at all. No fun." As the final cymbal crash died away, Rotten addressed the audience directly—"Ah-ha-ha. Ever get the feeling you've been cheated? Good night"—before throwing down his microphone and walking offstage. The band broke up 3 days later.

We used to only listen to orchestral music, that was even a centuries-long phenomenon. The same happened to it which happened to rock music after the 90s: new technology and other aspects changed the status quo. Sadly, the niggers have taken this new version of the medium over which is why we're now stuck with shitty popmusic based on negro rap beats.

Well someone needs to get into hardcore/jungle/dnb

There's plenty of fresh young rock artists, you just don't know any because all you listen to is youtube recommendations.
Greta Van Fleet is the most obvious one

Has any pre-2000 band that is not just a nostalgia meme like the Rolling stones even managed to reach #1 in the billboard mainstream charts since 2010 apart from them?

All currently dead, but a good listen to once in a while. I did used to have a bunch of old school jungle mixes from old pirate radio stations that I downloaded from line wire.

>are there even that many white people left

He's a famous director

what's funny is that fred durst said he would be exactly that without his band on the record

That's why I loved Michael Jackson before he lip synced on tours
Live dancing w/ ad libs and improvs is why more impressive for spectators than just music itself
Also why kpop concerts are so popular

a 7.5
and don't forget he gave roots an 8
and he's god damn right

Metallica

faggots who hate limp bizkit take music way too seriously and they are the same people that praise car seat headrest and shit. youll find them in the chart threads with the tumblr oc's
