The thing with tube vs solid state is that tubes are not a magical natural phenomena. They are a man-made creation that we fully understand and can digitally model so we can get all their desirable characteristics without the inherent temperature/voltage supply problems and degradation.
The majority of pro musicians are ditching tube amps now that portable computers are powerful enough to model them 1 for 1 as opposed to analog circuits using tricks to get close enough.

I had a tiny 1.5w computer speaker lying around so I hooked that up to my15w amp, disconnecting the internal speaker and turned it up to 1, you get the same distorted sound at a much more neighbor friendly lvl.
so now im off to buy a lower powered practice amp. you live and learn
