Somebody put Frank Ocean on suicide watch. This is the Blonde follow-up we all deserved, and based on those singles he put out last year, i doubt the album he's working on will be as good as this.

Awaken My Love was already better than anything J Cole or Chance ever put out and this new album is more forward thinking and experimental than anything Kendrick has done.
Gambino has done more for modern Neo-Soul and Funk than any of the rappers you mentioned have done for modern hip-hop.

yeah kendrick looked like he was gonna be a big influence for a bit in 2015, but hes left fucking almost 0 impact on hip hop as a whole in the years since

It’s been out for a week, there’s already been discussions. The bastard streamed it on his site for like 12 hours last Sunday, then teased a countdown all week just turned out to be an official release.

It’s a good album, BTI is still my favorite of his and probably won’t be topped but I enjoy it nonetheless. I’m bummed though because multiple songs he’s performed live for the last two years aren’t here, and the old version of Algorhythm is way better.

because I fell for the "he's just gonna stream it 24/7 on that site and never put it up as an actual album on streaming services" meme so I wrote it off and forgot about it

It's good so far I think I'll really like this on night drives
