Which one is better?
Which one is better?
X 10 fold
exmilitary because tms is half filler
bottomless pit
exmilitary
TMS is obviously their best project followed by Jenny Death and Exmilitary
Contrarians kill yourselves
exmilitary
Exmilitary
TMS has Hacker, ISF and Hustle Bones, which are 3 of the best hip hop songs ever, but the rest is filler. Still a 9 though
Exmillitary
>not mentioning The Fever
user...
It depends on what you are looking for. Money store has better, slicker production and better hooks, but I personally found it quite lacking in emotional impact when compared to exmilitary, which was also more varied and had better tracks
Literally their worst
TMS but Beware is fucking gold.
powers that b
Which side?
powers that b
they are fucking equal in every way and anyone who disagrees is wrong
Both are great but I think TMS reaches greater heights with songs like Get Got, The Fever, Black Jack, Punk Weight, Fuck That and Hacker. Beware might be the best song on both albums, though.
they're both ass. I can't explain with words how bad DG is.
NLDW
how can an album have mostly filler and still be a 9
TMS
It’s not filler because you don’t like it. The only song on the TMS that I think is somewhat forgettable is Fuck That, and it still its character is distinct. I mean even
thinks Fuck That is a great track. I think I first listened there were a few songs that were skippable but having returned to it again recently I just hadn’t got them.
Exmilitary is great. Its feeling and sound is raw and immediate, and there is a certain marshal character to its production. TMS trades that marshal sound for denser and more dynamic production, and is also catchier for this reason. IMO its cover is the perfect representation for the sound they were going for, a union of the raw and passionate with the synthetic and digital. If Exmilitary is sadism, TMS is sadomasochism. This sadomasochistic element is what defines all of their later output.
when I first listened*
what's wrong with fuck that? personally love the tribal beat, it went well with ride's syncopated chant-y delivery on that track. sounded very voodoo
Jenny death of course
Fuck That is great, the beat is so minimal yet so raw at the same time, and then there's that verse at 1:00 which is pure bliss.
Some tracks from TMS got shuffled into a playlist I was listening to yesterday and I realized that the album came out like 8 years ago, before I even graduated HS. And then I remembered watching fantano's X review when it initially came out. Times passes, shit's crazy, who would've thought.
It's good, it's just the one that were I to list tracks off the top of my head I would be most likely to forget
The Money Store:
>Get Got
>The Fever
>Blackjack
>Hustle Bones
>I've Seen Footage
>System Blower
>The Cage
>Bitch Please
>Hacker
Exmilitary:
>Beware
>Spread Eagle Cross the Block
>Takyon
>Known For It
>I Want It I Need It
>Blood Creepin
Track for track, TMS>X. However, DG has 0 bad albums.
The Money Store is a much stronger and more coherent musical statement. Ex-Military is all over the place, both aesthetically and with regards to quality.
>The only song on the TMS that I think is somewhat forgettable is Fuck That
Pleb, that's one of the best
>Get Got and The Cage are filler
This, but Thru the Walls is also great and your forgetting one of the best tracks on the TMS, Punk Weight
Imagine not mentioning Guillotine or Thru the Walls
Or Culture Shock
The themes of culture shock are done better on TMS and NLDW but it's still a good song
NLDW literally has one good song
Takyon on its' own is worth listening to more than 99% of TMS
Guillotine is DG's "Walk This Way". Good as shit, but fucking hell. Talked about like an absolute best track when it's truly not
Plebbish opinion but at least you're open about it
Yeah, and that 1 track's multiple names are
>Come Up and Get me
>Lil Boy
>No Love
>Black Dice
>Lock Your Doors
>Hunger Games
>Deep Web
>Stockton
>Bass Rattle Stars Out the Sky
and
>Artificial Death in the West
exmilitary has 2 songs i like (beware, takyon)
the money store has 0
rap is crap
every track is as good each other because i love you, mc ride, and i couldn't rank anything that youv'e made. i made you lunch for schoo
Filtration system working as planned
Exmilitary is kinda rough mixing wise on some of the songs, gonna go with TMS
holy filtered
Exmilitary and it's not even close.
there's great irony in the fact that only niggers say "rap is crap"
Ride is the only person who is not emotionally dishonest

I was memeing haha :)
>Culture Shock in any way done better on TMS or NLDW
you need to vibrate higher
I've Seen Footage, Hacker, and Artificial Death in the West deal with the subject in more interesting ways.
pleb
HOT SHIT
COLD SHIT
OK MOTHERFUCKER
LETS DO THIS
Exmilitary is the spiritual successor to Paul’s Boutique
Exmilitary
This is actually a good comparison
It's a cool song lol; who cares about the concept
Music and lyrical concept poopoo head
also:
>Death Grips was and always has been a conceptual art exhibition anchored by sound and vision. Above and beyond a "band". To our truest fans, please stay legend.
Stay legend nigger
Music might as well have stopped being made after Exmilitary, it was the peak of all music.
I mean that unironically of course, Exmilitary is the group's battlecry, pretty much defined their band and aesthetic and there's no possible way to beat that harsh punk rock sound because it's just so good.
Kidding aside, I prefer Exmilitary because to me it's as close as one can get to an introspective war soundtrack
based. Whammy and Pop suck.
