What is your favorite electric guitar?
Took a thin, brown kaka. The kaka reminded me of Sammy
How do I set strings tension without changing gauge?
Chad here.
Truss Rod Adjustment. If you increase neck relief to bow forward, you reduce string tension. Decrease neck relief, you get the opposite effect.
You can also try stretching out your strings a bit, which should be a mandatory practice when restringing the guitar, especially since that also increases tuning stability. Then, as strings age, they lose some tension. Otherwise, it's getting guitars with different scale lengths.
Holy fucking shit. The luthier forgot to fix the middle pickup's alignment, and installed the wrong fucking gauge of strings (9s instead of 10s)
He must do this shit on purpose, its unbelievable
sup bassbro
I bet he doesn’t like you and does it on purpose.
Who do I go to to get my gear set up
Thanks.
Today I tried blocking the tremolo with a piece of wood and there was too little tension. So I removed it but things didn't get back right enough. Should I also try screwing the springs a certain way?
Texas
Yes he does. He hates me for asking that wiring with 3 pushpulls for the les paul. He's giving me looks ever since. Today when I was testing the wiring before getting the guitar, he said some passive agressive shit like "it's so much sounds that you dont even know which one to use huh?"
There's a second suspicion though, that's more plausible. It's that he's just plain dumb. Everything that I asked him and he didn't write it on the customer order at the computer, he forgot. He even forgets shit that i send via WhatsApp, which is a digital registry and not a forgettable oral thing.
I like ur j bass. I want a 70 j real bad.
luthier/guitar tech
damn how i hate these guys. learn to do it yourself if you really like guitar or else youll have old fuck charging you a shitton for a shit job and you can't complain because theyre old and know everything. with the money of one or two setups you can buy all the tools to do everything youll need on the guitar.
He doesn’t like you, like everyone else in your life
fuck off prick
fuckin hell fuck that retard
fuck him
he is obsessed with having the pickups close to the strings and for that reason he caved the middle pickup's cavity too shallow and i can't lower the middle pickup enough to match the volume of the bridge pickup at the height that the bridge pickup sounds best
even though I ASKED HIM TO CAVE THE PICKUP CAVITIES LOWER
and thats on top of having the middle pickup misaligned with the other ones, so that if i manually move the saddles up or down for the strings to sound more leveled with that pickup, it sounds off with the others, i mean the E strings
FUCKIN UNBELIEVABLE
Im gonna go back at him tomorrow (if he isnt closed for the quarantine) and there we go spending another 20 reais with uber transport
Who else is ready to protect their guitars during these trying times?
>want to write
>zero inspiration
FUCK
write either way and youll be a better writer afterwards
Unfortunately, I don't know enough about it to give too much advice there. I'm personally not great at setting up guitars with Trem-Systems, but I would imagine that you need to find the point where the bridge is flush with the body, and keep it there. To me, I think this is a case of dead strings, or a different string material. Steel is probably stiffer than nickel, so that might give you more tension.
I got a better idea.
I'll just defy the threat of getting infected and buy a load of weed tomorrow. That always gets me going.
yo
nice sbl
im 22 years old and i never did drugs and im not gonna do it now
missing out man, weed and music go hand in hand
Thanks, nice collection yourself.
If shit hits the fan, nobodies taking my guitars.
Hello frens. I've bought my first electric guitar recently but I'm too dumb to get my amp to work properly. The amp is a Frontman g15. I know that it's pretty shit, but I was hoping that it's good enough for an absolute beginner.
I'm pressing the "drive select" button and my gain is turned up. I'm trying to get that rock/metal distortion, but I can't figure out how.
Thanks in advance for any advice
no thanks, i dont to destroy my mind with drugs because i can't shut it off while my creative side works
hehehe..... you can't fix a shit practice amp unfortunately. Especially on the Frontman.
Guitar fuel.
And omw to pick up my new used bass.
Okay, but what about this? He's using the exact guitar and amp that I have.
youtube.com
How does he achieve that sound? I just can't figure it out.
yes you can. its called changing the speaker
No, that's not it. Check this out:
youtube.com
01:40 is the sound that I have, 02:45 is the sound that I want. It should be achievable using this amp. What the hell am I doing wrong?
maybe turn on the distortion?
Thanks for reminding me how much I hate fenders dirty tone
Dude, it's his first amp and he's a beginnger. Replacing the speaker right out the gate is a retarded idea.
Back off your gain from maximum, crank mids, bass conversative, treble to taste (I'd go conservative). Really, though, if your distortion isn't turning on with the drive select button, you're likely fucked in the sense your amp is a broken piece of shit (instead of just being a piece of shit).
I've played around with the knobs for a long time, I'm not getting that sound. Zoom in at
Neither the gain nor the drive give knob me that sound.
everyone here assumes that you dont think at all
if he is so stupid and you know and can everything better, why dont you do it yourself instead of paying him to do stuff wrong, just so you can complain about it afterwards?
I wouldn’t trust a single one of you retards with a firearm.
had you tried turning everything to 10 except for volume (well maybe volume too, who am i to disagree) ?
also maybe your guitar's volume knob (not the amp's) isn't at 10. that would be the same as turning down the gain at the amp. also maybe you have a bad cable or poor contact, try playing around with the cable tips (the one on the guitar and the one at the amp)
>Dude, it's his first amp and he's a beginnger. Replacing the speaker right out the gate is a retarded idea.
oh i hadnt read that part
Yes
For me, it's the Gibson SG..
youtube.com
that pedal tho
you learned to just take your L, which is good and saves both of us time, cheers lad
I like him..
old valve amps are expensive, but old valve radios aren't.
couldn't you just hack one? ie plug into the amps input instead of the radio. for home use not gig obviously
Not him but your stupid
I think that's what Brian May's amp was
REEEEEEEEEEE I HATE THAT TECH
HE DOESNT DO ANYTHING THAT I ASK HIM THAT ISNT WRITTEN ON THE CUSTOMER ORDER
FUCKIN HELL
Nah
Lol I win
You hate to see it..
peavey wolfgang
oh cool thanks
Lol he doesn’t like you
just get one that has an aux in ffs
Yeah I think it really might be broken.
I tried all the volume knobs, even the one on the guitar. I'll test some more tomorrow and if I can't get it to work I'll contact the customer support.
mom thinks dad is dying but she does that every other night
Hope she’s right this time honestly sammy
