Yas Forumssicians! - Are you having trouble getting noticed on Spotify? Do you want to increase your chances of making it on to curated playlists? Need an increase in followers? Well guess what - that's true of all of us.
Post your original music in this thread with a Spotify link, and I'll add it to this playlist:
I followed and liked each song on this playlist and I will be giving it a few spins today. I posted my song in yesterday's thread, could you add it to this playlist as well? Thanks user.
When did the other one start showing up in feeds? This is the first time I've seen it here and I'm staggered at how well it's going, gotten like 30 followers already. Has OP of the other one posted today? My shit's been taken out.
I think the other OP is a bit inconsistent sometimes, I see these threads more often. Could just be me though
Austin Morris
Can I submit another song from the same album now that my other one is out of rotation? If not, it's cool but I figured I'd give it a shot since it's a really lengthy album with a lot of different sounds.
Why are you morons treating these threads like sound cloud circle heel u threads? Can you not fucking read what OP is trying to do? Do you not understand the methodology?
Adrian Gray
Ok user. I'm following every single artist on the playlist, it's gonna take a while though since I'm actually listening to their music as well. Happy now?
Jacob Sanchez
Well done, you've done the bare fucking minimum asked to contribute possibly to the thread and idea.
Colton Wright
Is someone's music not getting listened to?
Robert Stewart
High-energy VGM-like music. Released last year but working on new stuff rn!
[Feedbacker] here, I've been really out it since the virus stuff. Been figuring out work stuff. Even though I've been cycled out, I've had some increase in followers. But went down to 1% from 2% of algorithmic plays. If there's space to re add:
Btw, op which band is yours? I feel dumb for not knowing.
Kayden Nelson
No problem with that at all, added!
Added
Added, thanks for helping
Tyler Hernandez
All added
Make sure to follow all of the artists on the playlist, and give the playlist a spin or two
Daniel Peterson
Thanks very much, you're doing god's work
Easton Sanchez
If you were listening to the playlist and following everyone, his music would be played?
Evan Hill
oh of course. thank you for doing this! fitting first track
Gavin Turner
I wouldn't necessarily be so antagonistic about it, but you're right in that it doesn't work at all unless people actually follow each other and spin the playlist.
I know from my people's spotify stats that only a fraction of those that post actually listen to everything, while some people really help out and leave it on.
trade secret lol
Nolan Collins
Aha I hoped someone would find that funny
Jacob Morris
I'm being antagonistic because goddamn there's been a rotation of like 50+ artists across both your guys playlists yet I've gotten like 10 followers and 150 plays in the 2 weeks or whatever you guys have been doing it. It shows that people are just dumping and running, missing the point of the thing. It's incredibly frustrating because those people will sit on the playlist for ages before being cycled out while 3 people or so actually contribute to the algorithm tampering.
Is there a way to vet these pricks or what? If someone just drops a link like Then I'd be aggressive towards them because it at least provokes them in to READING the fucking OP
Jackson Fisher
>COVID-19 claims another victim F.
Leo Collins
Sorry I posted my music and didn't say anything about following the OP. You're just gonna have to believe me that I did.
Because that's how this system works. you don't know me
Luke Lewis
Probably the ""band"" that's never removed from it...
Jayden Taylor
Look I get it, just it's hard to know who's actually contributing and who's not.
One of those guys did say that they were following and repeating the playlist, which does help.
Obviously it would be ideal if everyone
>1) Followed the playlist >2) Followed the artists on the playlist >3) Listened to the playlist, then left it on repeat in the background, and did that again the next day
Obviously that would be ideal, but I can't prove it unfortunately
Adam Cook
No idea. I know when I was trying to find playlist curators, they all required permissions to your spotify, and to follow the playlist/account. No idea if there is a way to make it follow/like all artists
Juan Johnson
lol actually not, I actually left my project out of it for over a week for this very reason
Jacob Thomas
although I am interested to hear who you thought it was, a few people post in these regularly and get their stuff back in
Bentley Bennett
Do a massive cut and see who comes back
Bentley Reyes
Does it really matter..? Who cares if the guy running it gets a bit of preferential treatment, it would be expected.
If we all shuffle the list, we'll make some pennies in these hard economic times. Hahahaha
Owen Rivera
Nah I don't think it matter, but I am trying to be fair about it
Everything there is less than 5 days old, so at least people aren't in there forever without coming back
Joseph Evans
Added, please do help out and give the playlist a spin on their behalf, follow the artists on there
Bentley Moore
>Get added to a new releases playlist >20,000 plays across America and Europe in a month before tapering off, get a bunch of followers and sit around 100-150 plays a week now >Wait patiently for my Spotify bucks to come in >£30 I mean...what's the fucking point lads
Hey man, still more than what I have. Be happy people want to listen even without a playlist
Benjamin Cooper
That's a great start user! The real trick is to try to keep building on that, building a fan base, using your good numbers and real engagement to build interest on social media, or with gig bookers, festival slots.
Once you've got a core fanbase, that's who you hit for the merch bucks. It's got to be a combination of Spotify - Live - Merch to really keep yourself going as a small to mid range artist
Camden Ortiz
You know there's not a lot of money to be had from streaming unless you're in the millions, so at this point it's just the warm feeling of knowing someone, somewhere is listening to your work. I mean, playing live in your hometown is not that different. Do it for the culture
In my case I want to make music good enough that everyone wants to listen to it on their own. Hopefully one day.
Jack Scott
My stuff has been added to the playlist before, and I already follow everyone and listen to the playlist, I know how it works
Austin Jenkins
Thanks for adding (Superocean). There are some legit good artists on here, keep up the good work
Christopher Martin
Really like this one a lot!
Make sure to follow everyone, if you haven't already
