Because it's all a bunch of bullshit. I know what I think is proper, and so does everyone else. The question is just how much I want to force other people to live the way I think people should. Economically I think fairness should be strived for, and that workers should have more benefits. But what's most important is a healthy, robust economy, and an important question is how much you can socialize things before you undermine the economy. I have a fancy degree but it's not a PhD in economics, so I don't honestly know the ins and outs of economic theory, and I doubt anyone else here does either, regardless of how they like to present themselves.

But anyway, I'm moderately in the green/left-libertarian square.

Last I checked was (-6 -6) or something.

I fit somewhere on the z axis. I believe very firmly in the immovable status quo, that what is will remain mostly the same as it gradually crawls in one direction or another over time without any input from me. I'm a big believer in voting in local, and occasionally state elections, but in national polls I generally root for the outcome that will cause the biggest shitstorm. My political hopes include seeing more politicians get murdered, more tech megacorps get broken up under anti-trust laws, and a reduction of my personal tax burden.

I think we need more social spending/progressive taxes to help enable opportunities for poorer members of society to educate themselves or become more skilled and thus wealthier. I'm not poor and personally would have to pay a higher tax but as a member of the nation and society I think it would benefit me to have the collective population be more educated, skilled, and wealthier. This would reduce crime, debt, increase consumer spending thus benefitting businesses. I don't want full communism but I think something like education should be easy to access for all.

Also if I, for example, 'strongly agree' on taxing the rich but also 'strongly disagree' on making abortion legal, it would even out on the spectrum right? but what if taxing the rich is like my core value and goal in life, it should weigh in a lot more.
