VERY fucking successful. not to any reasonable expectation. lots of bands you might think of as being really successful and acclaimed still barely make shit from the music and have substantial day jobs just to not live like grubby punks into adulthood

Someone at her level could easily live of her earnings, you couldn't live grand but you'd live like the average person. I have friends who are half as famous and live off their music because they live frugally. Something tells me she's been wasting her tour money.

For example, Iceage pulls in about $80 000 on one tour, the only one getting paid except for the band is their tour manager(sometimes sound guy but they don't always bring their own) so they live well off of one america and one europe tour per year. Lingua should be making at least $20k from a tour since she's been having sold out shows consistently.

Just stream her music and buy her merch.

it's definitely enough to live on, they pull in more like 30-40k per year each with merch sales and smaller tours thrown in. You can make an absolute killing with good quality merch.

Keep in mind that they tour for a few months then are pretty much on vacation for the rest of the year, pretty good life if you ask me.

this was the case maybe 15 years ago but not anymore. Interest in independent music has increased by a lot so bands that wouldn't have had a chance before can now fill a room, plus you have better channels for merch sales and and an ever increasing interest in physical releases. I personally think bands like Have A Nice Life and Death Grips were instrumental in this change, the first really big internet based acts.
