it's called a community you sperg aka "socializing"
So the cool kid thing to hate right now has changed from Mendelssohn to Messiaen? Cool. Can we hate Bruckner next? For shits and giggles? Or von Weber?
Man, I remember last year around October when it was Berlioz, and later Mahler. We had a laff, we did.
Liam Lewis
>shits and giggles? you have to go back
Ayden Fisher
Why does he give off character-from-Harry-Potter vibes? Love the music anyway.
Eli Young
Opinion on Mozart's k 107 harpsichord concerti?
Lucas Johnson
His output is frustratingly small. I would literally kill for a violin concerto and a mature symphony or two, maybe some folk influenced piano quarters like Brahms and Dvorak. That would've been sweet. Or, oh man, one ballet, just one, to rival Tchaikovsky's. I do love his Lyric Pieces, though. Some of the nicest, coziest piano music of the second half of the 19th century.
Cameron Anderson
I've been here longer than you, zoomer.
Samuel Butler
>Why does he give off character-from-Harry-Potter vibes? Idk but his music does too.
William Roberts

Name me five composers who fit the word genius. Pro tip; you can't, everyone can do what they have.
Justin Morris
Definte genius in no less than two paragraphs, at least four lines each.

Has anybody here bothered listening to the works of the sons of Bach, especially John and Emanuel? Is it a waste of time?
I like Mozart's k 107 harpsichord arrangement which is an arrangement of John Bach (the London Bach) sonatas, and Emanuel was hugely popular in the second half of the 1700s before falling out of fashion.
Eli Edwards
Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Monteverdi, Sorabji. Can do plenty more if you want.
Liam Jenkins
I'm only aware of London Bach and he's very good, though I'd be hard pressed to say he's essential listening.
Charles Phillips
I thought we had included Sorabji in the hack list?
What do you think of Tschitscherins book on Mozart?
Isaiah Garcia

Alexander Price
Absolute cope lmao
Reminder these 2 are the true lists we decided last thread
That Delius quote is being misinterpreted, Gould was literally mentally challenged and Callas was a woman. None of those are valid arguments against Mozart.
Ryan Jones
>Callas was a woman. Look at this incel lol, Woman's opinions matter bigot
