first for ibanez is good

How do I get better? Just keep learning more songs?

Why are Gibson Les Paul's known for going out tune and cracking at the neck? That's seems a little crazy for a $5000 guitar.

t. noob

Set neck and bridge design.

Tele > Strat

Learn one major scale all the way up the neck. Make sure to also memorize the names of the notes on that scale for each position. Once you understand that, you can move the patterns you learn around the entire fretboard.

fpbp
Ibanez RG > any other guitar

Strat better at everything except headstock and control plate.

More bullshit. My LP hasn't cracked at the neck yet and this after >15 years. Perhaps you should place your guitars in a stand.
Tuning used to vary.. Once I started using Big Bends Nut Lube, my G string no longer sticks in the nut and things remain in tune.

Correction: Big Bends Nut Sauce

how do you cope with having started playing too late to become more than competent?

Not the one you are responding to, but even though I'll never be great, It is a blast to learn to play the songs you love.

You need to understand that you don't have to fellate your guitar live on stage at the speed of light to be a good musician.

You just have to play ON KEY, TO THE BEAT. That's it. Do you know any scales? Which ones?

It may be too late to be the ULTIMATE SHREDGOD, but it's not too late to get pretty good and ENJOY MUSIC.

You're think about money and notoriety when you should be thinking about what chord would go good next to this or that chord, and what you would have the baseline be or the different ways you could solo over it.

Just have fun nigga.

when did sam hyde start playing guitar

Are any of those midi pickups any good or are they just a meme?

Do you like synth sounds enough to spend 500bux on some roland gear?

It's gotten me laid and paid as an amateur, so I'm good senpai.

Relic/Relicing is literally an industry scam to prevent the used market of 70+ years if electric planks from collapsing overnight. Now every cunt with a beat to shit Squier Strat as it as a 'relic".

Also, reverb was/is industry price fixing with (((pricing guides))).

I don't care about the used and vintage market. That's for collectors.

this doesnt make sense, just as a coherent thought

only worthwhile if you need midi and are so bad at keyboards/so good at guitar that it makes sense to use guitar as your controller.
otherwise only if you really want to make super funky synth driven guitar sounds, but you can just get stomp boxes and iPad apps and shit for that desu

He is legit autistic.

>tfw no metal gf

This is false. I've been looking around and there's only a couple decent stomp boxes for synth, and they cost over 200 dollars.

At that price point you may as well go all the way and buy roland gear for maximum options.

he really is, I think it's endearing, and the demos are OK, even though he can't play

he probably got dunked in toilets as a kid, I'm glad he's doing well

he probably posts here. like, a lot.

ibanez wizard ones crack over time. the Gibson one is just delicate enough that you can break it if you drop it badly, but if you are careful they will never break.
they don't go out of tune if the nut is done correctly and fender trems and bad string trees can cause as much problems but Gibson don't pay viral marketers to rag on those design decisions

There is an entire industry dedicated to fixing the design flaws in fender guitars, especially the strat. It was so close to being good, but so far away. Shame. Leo got ir wrong the first time.

Despite the youtube whining, most off-brand gibson-like guitars are made as close to the originals as possible. What's that tell you?

Attached: 0d6.jpg (600x600, 51.64K)

Trogly pls go.

Hey Sammy, you're a nigger. You're so insufferable I'm a racist, you made me a racist!

From everything I've heard, yeah the quality is pretty fucking good

Yes

>relicing is a scam
I agree
>to prevent the used market from collapsing
That makes zero sense dude.

Why is it so good?

Are Tele pickups inherently hotter than Strat pickups or does my Tele just have shit pickups? If I set up my amp to sound good with my Strat (just enough gain to break up a bit, nice and jangly) then plug in my Tele is sounds like overly-distorted mud.

Attached: Screen Shot 2020-03-10 at 7.12.30 PM.png (1756x694, 575.02K)

tele is generally hotter and darker than strat.
strats are absurdly bright

puke tune

>strat brighter than tele
Not in my experience. Not according to pretty much everyone ever

Attached: 1579524519090.jpg (453x604, 30.35K)

pretty much everyone says the strat is brighter than the tele user.

News to me. I'll have to do a side by side, because I have never heard it that way

mainly you get way more bass frequencies from the tele bridge, strat bridge is thin in comparison

from the demos I've seen he is probably better than 80% of /gg/

I dislike the thin neck thing, hurts my hand if its a 6 string. That new model that looks like a Suhr looks pretty nice tho

>t. gibson employee

Yup. Telecasters are really bright (especially in the neck and middle position) but the bridge is VERY bass-y. Strats and Teles are both really jangly, but the Tele is thicker.

Clear yet fat
I personally prefer a bright humbucker a bit more tho

this is the single most intelligent post sam ever made. you beat gg this time you hideous little rat of a man.

trogly is what happens when we don't allow bullying in schools.

A myth of poor people trying to justify Chinese plywood libraries

I think he Atleast dabbles here. He’s also The only guitar channel worth watching by the way. Intelligent takes on guitars

Worm-caster

same samming and rat bait itt

my AS73 supports this notion

is this true?

Is that one of the AZ series? They do look cool, but I've yet to play one that actually felt good. Granted it was a Premium (Indo made), but even those are like 1300 bux new.

huh

Does tremolo picking fall under the shredding category or do you need to sweep arps to qualify
