I think it's fair for death grips to present themselves however they want, and it's probably in acknowledgement of the trope of musicians images playing a role in how people perceive their music. The case still stands that the sound they broke onto the scene with was uniquely theirs and inspired a bunch of people to do similar even if they weren't the first.

Almost all photographs are from 2011-2013 when they were doing interviews or from concerts. They have had literally no professional publicity since then.
