when i started, i just bought the cheapest guitar i could find so if i have up i wouldn't have lost a lot of money

I recommend going to your local guitar store (not guitar center) and ask a non-boomer there for starters. Tell him your budget and sound you want.

Don't do thisIt'll discourage you when you find out cheap guitars suck when you don't know how to make them decent. Spend at least 150-300 on something decent. Ibanez makes some affordable goodness as well as some epiphones. Just find one you like that you can afford and look up reviews on youtube.

The most important thing for any guitar you buy is how much you enjoy playing it. Go to guitar center and try out different guitars and find a couple that feel good in your hands. Then look for a cheap used one on Craigslist or Reverb. Don't get something with a vibrato arm (like in the picture) because then you won't be able to change the tuning and changing your strings will take twice as long. I would also stay away from Gibson Les Pauls because of their notorious tuning/intonation issues. I would also stay away from active pickups unless you explicitly want to play extreme metal or metalcore.

can you give a little information about yourself, its different if you have some experience with music from classes or something, but if your a total virgin blooded musical quivering pussy you're probably going to sound like shit regardless of the guitar you buy so just do your best to save your money

>ask a non-boomer there for starters
Yeah, definitely don't ask someone with a lot of experience /s

Don't buy new instruments ever.

It’s the same thing as a gun store fudd boomer, you fucking idiot. they genuinely do not care half the time and want your shekels.
>tldr. kill yourself

That's what pretty much everyone in history has done. This "what's the right guitar to buy, internet?" shit it a fucking retarded zoomer meme. Every classic band played on whatever they could afford when they started out. Expensive gear is not going to cover up the fact that you suck and good players can make even the shittiest gear sound good.
