why are people like this?
Why are people like this?
I don't use RYM because I'm not a faggot
as usual, fpbp
I could explain the rational ecstasy to you. But I won't.
Best
so there is none then
BAZAT & ROSUPASTILAT
Anyone with more than 1000 ratings on RYM is guaranteed to be an ugly weirdo with no social life
lol I actually really like RYM, as a way of keeping track of what music I like. I actually routinely go through and delete stuff I don't really need to remember, which skews things even more toward positive ratings... so I wind up with this
>p..people don't actually care what their RYM rating "curve" looks like, right?
No functioning, mentally healthy people do, no...
but I feel the same way about chibi shit
if i don't like an album, i'll usually just get bored and stop listening to it partway through to find something better.
ill never understand why people would even bother listening to an album that they're gonna give below like 2.5 stars
seriously if you dont like it why even bother wasting time listening to it and rating it
only retards do
heres mine, i dont listen to shit music on purpose just to have a better curve because im not autistic
But you are a bitch
curve distributions means literally nothing though, op pic guy might like everything rated 3/10 or above. or even 1/10. some people dont like to pay attention to negative elements so they sat an "average" score at 1/10 and everything above is "positive". it really doesnt matter.
also in my experience, whenever someones mad that someone else has a lot of albums rated, it means that they just have less then them and feel like they need to justify it somehow. is it really that crazy of a thought that someone has listened to more music than you? what even is 5k albums when youve been rating music for 5 years.
Only faggots care that much.
Yeah I don't get it either.
Let's have an RYM cringe thread
Here's another point of the trinity of cringe
only correct answer
I have one more after this, it's not another curve, it's something even more cringe (somehow)
i wouldnt understand that either when it comes to more "normal" albums that just have a bunch of regular songs but for more experimental music, you just treat it differently
"I don't even"
Here is the most cringe part of rym, even more than the trannies and curve autists
based
i seriously hope none of you faggots do this
why does it matter? it doesnt mean he "hates" all music, just that he places the average at 1/10. it just means you cant see whats rated lower.
taci fmm
all the stuff i've ever rated below 2.5 was music i was made to hear, not stuff that i chose to listen to.
die
nothing will replace the high i feel from being vastly superior to generic drones when i post a new rating - it's intoxicating that i've determined the objective value of a piece of art and nobody will dare to challenge my point of view
both of these ways of reviewing are equally as destructive and retarded
anything other than these rating curves is cringe
>that one guy who rates everything 3 stars but has bladee and k-pop in his 5s
most music is just fine
InRainbows is fucking garbage user, what is wrong with you
If your rym ratings don’t form a normal bell curve with a mean score of 3.0 then you’re just a contrarian, plain and simple.
nah in rainbows, dark side of the moon and other albums are cringier.
The cringiest part is that led zepplin made it to top 20. say what you want about kenny but led zepplin and their stolen rock anthems don't deserve a top 20 nor 100 placement.
>Led Zeppelin, formed by ex-Yardbirds guitarist Jimmy Page and Alexis Korner's protege` Robert Plant, were, first and foremost, children of the blues. Except that the jams of Led Zeppelin I (1969) introduced a hysterical approach to black music that even blacks had never dreamed of (culminating in the epileptic zenith of Communication Breakdown). The melodrama of songs such as Whole Lotta Love (1969) was continuously ruptured by guitar riffs and delirious vocals. Cream had played blues-rock as brain music: Led Zeppelin played blues-rock as body music. From Immigrant Song (1970) to In The Evening (1979), Led Zeppelin were mainly an idea of rock'n'roll for a new kind of audience. The secondary elements that had been percolating the early albums emerged vigorously on Led Zeppelin IV (1971): When The Levee Breaks was their most original (almost psychedelic) song inspired by the folk tradition, and Stairway To Heaven was the culmination of Page's mystic persona.
>stolen rock anthems
still shit. TPAB over that stuff anyday.
cringe
based
I do this because it makes dumb people mad. all these years later and you faggots still don’t understand how a positive rating system works
This is based. Pareto principle. The vast majority of music is shit.
if you care about rating curves youre retarded and i hate you
i hope you kill yourself and die
fuck you
every day i listen to one random album. if i begin to suspect that it is going to mess up my perfect ratio i turn it off. usually though, it evens out
ayy
Man, not having sex really takes its toll on some users
based, link profile
i enjoy most music i listen to because im normal
bahaha what the fuck
Imagine forcing yourself to listen to that much shitty music (if that person even finishes the albums he rates)
kek
then dont fucking listen to it
Somebody change this twink in this picture into a tranny
if you commit to listening to a discography of an artist you like, a lot of their albums will likely not be as good as your favorite album(s) of theirs, which is a natural way of finding albums you don't like. you dont necessarily have to go looking for bad music, sometimes that's just all that can be provided
I'm a gigachad and my favourite artist is merzebow

no bitch, am a hoe
Where's the same picture but with the albums chart
What's the 5 star?
Something shitty probably
>seriously if you dont like it why even bother wasting time listening to it
How can you know if you like it without listening to it? lol
How is it contrarian to have a different rating scale? If you had a discussion with one of these users about a particular album, you may find that you both share the exact same opinion on the albums quality. The score doesn't tell the whole picture.
