I started dating a girl back in 2007 and it kinda went downhill, for the last 6 months I was dating her to be with her dog Duncan. He was hung and eager.

Slept with my buddy’s wife while he was traveling for the military. Not as bad as it sounds though.

Moved in with my buddy a year ago. Known him for twenty years and, despite being the most dependable friend you could ask for, he’s terrible to women. His wife is probably the sweetest girl I’ve ever met, but he’s a Marine and holds her to pretty ridiculous standards. If she doesn’t meet them he berates her. Tells her shit like, “Maybe you don’t need seconds” which makes her stop eating even though she’s a gym rat and in really good shape. I’m making him sound like a real piece of shit but he really is a good guy. I truly think he just doesn’t realize what he’s doing.

First night after he flies out for training across the country and I find her drunk and crying on the couch. Took about two hours of listening and holding her for her to admit that she was upset because he convinced her that he needs a free pass when he travels because he’s “hot blooded”. Spent the night cheering her up and we ended up sleeping together. Been that way the last few months. He needs a wake up call but she’d never leave him. I’ll do my best to talk to him about the shit he says in the future, but I’m going to have her back, emotionally physically or otherwise, as long as she needs it.
