Masks are not for stopping the virus from coming in. They should be used by someone with a cough to stop large amounts of the virus getting out into the air we breathe. What the masks do is keep the moisture of your breath, along with the virus, contained within a smaller distance; E.G closer to you.

Even if you do have it and it's been over two weeks, it's estimated as much as 25% of infected people are asymptomatic which means they carry an active virus that isn't causing them harm (immune).

So the masks keep YOU from infecting OTHERS.

Also unless you wear glasses almost everyone in the radius of an infected person who dissipates the virus will be infected via ocular osmosis.

The masks do not prevent getting the virus. The only ones wearing them should be medical/emergency services/essential workers who come in contact with many people.
