Do you miss the mid-2000s?
Do you miss the mid-2000s?
life was so much easier for me then, no mental health issues man... what a good time.
I was 3 years old in 2005 what the fuuuuck
hell yea. I had a dead end, but really fun, job. Not many financial responsibility. Was in a band, had a young GF so all we did was fuck any chance we got. Weekends were for everyone to meet up and hang at a bar.
Playing tons of video games...that hasn't changed actually.
Runescape, gameboy, sony ericsson, 50cent, windows XP, yahoo etc... Sweet old childhood. Too bad it will never come back
Swings and roundabouts. Sure life was simpler but dial up sucks and furbees were aids. Also science was less advanced.
I was..uhh..10 :/. 2000-2010 were the glory days
90s kids get the bullet
t. Born 95
Personally, I felt the mid-2000s to be kinda trashy. It wasn't outright BAD, like the late 2000s, but it was shaky. You could tell something was different by mid-2004. The early 2000s (2000-2003) was the last good era IMO.
You just ruined my night. 2007 was the year I find this web and Im still here.
Those prepaid nokia phones (I forget the model) were goddamn indestructible. Having to call after 7PM for free minutes is still something I don't understand.
Binge watching gossip girl with my girlfriend. Has tons of mid-late 2000’s music and so much other nostalgic shit.
Marketing scheme.
There are definitely rose colored glasses on, but it's when iPods started becoming common. TV shows becoming portable as a result. DVR gained traction. HD TVs becoming affordable. XBox360, PS3 and Wii. LOST was obsessed over in between episodes on the forums. It was certainly the start of what we now see as commonplace.
I would cut my balls off to get 2000s internet culture back.
>2000-2010 were the glory days
2000: Dotcom crash
2001: 9/11
2002: Afghan war starts
2003: Iraq war starts
2008: Housing market crash
2009: Stock market bottom
yeah.... fun decade
Life was simpler then but I don’t know if it was better.
Shut the fuck up commie faggot nigger no one gives a shit
from 2000-2008 i would say
wwf/wwe was at it's peak
advent of youtube
xbox360
gameboy
mtv music awards was something to look forward to
the list goes on
I wasn't alive
It was marginally better. The last good time was the early 2000s.
2005 was the best year of my life. Graduated community College, was accepted into university, had a job i only worked 3 days at and had 4 days off. Best console generation with the GameCube, Xbox and PS2. Had an amazing girlfriend at the same time having all the pussy i wanted at college, young dumb and had the whole world ahead of me. Man if I could relive that year...
Ehh...9/11 and the ensuing war dampen the early 00s for me. I think once Bush got re-elected we all stopped being tense and just turned our attention towards enjoying ourselves. Not to make this thread political.
If you were into the metal and hardcore scene during the mid-00s it was insanely fertile. Bands that are still around today started emerging between 2003 - 2007 and it was cheap to see them. Oh, and Lindsay Lohan was fucking hot then.
Wasn't she also a dyke back then too?
I only miss the internet of the mid-2000's where everything was new and interesting, not every fucking retard was using it and where people didn't talk to each other using memes
Bad stuff happens all the time though. The 90s had the Oklahoma City Bombing and Columbine, but people still tout that decade as a golden age. For me, it's more about culture. 2000-2003 still felt like the 90s, and they had tons of 90s holdovers. Even the shitty stuff like The Cat in the Hat movie felt like it could have come out in the 90s. 2004 was the first year where things felt different, even though zoomers consider 2005 to be the first "acceptable" year.
Can't recall. She was banging Fez from That 70's Show. Then she basically got swallowed whole by the Hollywood nightlife scene and Paris Hilton. Couldn't handle all that drinking and coke binges.
Yes I do, If you gave me the choice to be 20 yo again back in 2001-5 and do it all over again or somehow be 20 yo again now in 2015-20? I'd take 2001-5 all day everyday.
no
Nothing was more comfy than watching Chappelle episodes for the first time. Those were events.
>it's more about culture
True. Just for me personally 2003, 2004 is when the culture started to really shift. Nu-metal went away. Technology started to become more part of our daily life (you can view this as a positive or a negative). Myspace existed and was very popular while at the same time sites like SomethingAwful and YTMND were communities to their own.
I guess it just felt more exciting in that sense along with what I was personally going through, which I haven't recaptured. Granted that's just more a part of me and my friends becoming adults.
No, I had to actually work and was poor because I just got out of college. Now I work from home with an easy ass job, own a house and have a shitload of disposable income. I get to travel the world and have tons of toys.
no
only good thing there is kings of crunk
Hell no. Crunk was never good.
2000s was like when dubstep started
Aka the start of my life really
