Well, I'm not the right person to ask. Our job is only to find forbidden items that could be dangerous. Basically firearms, ammo, knives, screwdrivers, scissors and water.
We aren't looking for drugs. So, for me, you could easily carry a 10 kg pack of cocaine and be fine. The custom is looking for drugs. Probably for such low amounts they won't do anything serious, just write some paper about it and a fine.

As I said here my job doesn't involve drugs. So, I don't really know. Mostly depends on luck, if there are currently drugs detecting dogs working or not.
No. I was looking for a job and sent multiple resumes. Of all companies that contacted me back, this was the most convenient for me, and I accepted the job.
I prefer not to disclose the salary, since it would be easily to trace me to where I work. I can say that the pay is above the average national salary. Yeah, benefits are good, we are the highest paid airport security in our nation. Shift hours are assigned on a rotational grid, 24-7. But there are so many people working there that you can easily change all your shift to be more or less the same. I usually like to do night and or early mornings. About 30 hours a week.

I do not work in the USA. Your guess is as good as mine. I think for small quantities you should be good within USA flights.
We don't work with drugs, but I can answer your questions.
Airtight containers will still leak some chemicals through. Also, the smell is probably left on the outside of the container when the drugs are placed into it.
Xray can see though sealed cans. That's a urban legend, just like tinfoil will make things invisible though xrays.
It doesn't matter. The drugs checks are made after you retrieve your bags.
It's quite hard. About 60-70% of the people fail at getting the job. It's almost impossible to steal people's clothing. When you have to open a bag the owner has to be beside you and has to see what are you doing.

After I had to do a final exam to test my knowledge of everything I had to study. Then, I got the contract. But, bare in mind that we are the highest paid airport security in the nation. Some pay half of what we get and work much more.
