The Beatles are the Cowboy Bebop of music. They really are as good as everyone says, but I've heard every Beatles song a million times and I honestly don't want to listen to them ever again.

It would be a misconception to think that every Beatle always walked like this; most of the Beatles didn't walk like this, and those that did didn't do it most of the time. I mean yes, this is a stupid way to walk, and yes, it happened that a Beatle walked like this, but it wasn't a common occurrence and the whole thing has been exaggerated by the popularity of this picture.

The Beach Boys are simultaneously overrated and underrated. You either circlejerk their single classic album to death or you aren't even aware of how good it is.

I acknowledge The Monkees wouldn't exist without the Beatles, but if you look at their whole career (especially the movie 'Head' and it's soundtrack) I'd say they ended up building a pretty impressive catalog, save a few misses here and there. The fact that they ended up being what they became when they were just put together for a TV show, makes it all the more impressive to me. I definitely listen to them more.

Anything. I get what you’re saying, I don’t think there’s any bands today like those mega bands. The music industry is different. I find myself turning off the classic rock stations and putting on a top 40 station - I don’t know any of the bands or singers, but I’m that tired of the old songs. My kids choose the music now; I’m mostly happy with whoever they put on.

Fucking this. Same goes for AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Metallica, all hair metal, and more recently, the vast majority of grunge/90's alternative rock.
Pretty much anything played on rock radio needs to be put away. It seems doubtful there will ever be a real resurgence of rock. It may finally, truly be dead.
