>2. You will immediately cease and not continue to access the site if you are under the age of 18.
I turned 18 two years ago
you must be REALLY stupid then, if they're still keeping you in high school at the age of 20
Its called google,use it.
That's most likely college general chemistry 2 you numb nuts
this is an organic chemistry question you dipshit, not something you learn in high school
identifying chiral compounds is high school organic chemistry
see
R
R
S
i did not learn this in high school nor in college chemistry I. so idk what your on about
Not for every country...
your high school was shit then
You don't learn that in high school in the US ?
I don't know what to tell you, this is the same stuff they teach in college chemistry and the same stuff thats on the medical school admissions test. Just because they teach it in high-school doesn't mean they can't teach it in college. I only assume you were too dumb/lazy to go to college
Neet spotted
SO IS ANYONE ACTUALLY GOING TO HELP ANSWER?
>I only assume you were too dumb/lazy to go to college
projecting this much... yikes
The carbon atom which is attached to 4 different other compounds, just check for each molecuole.
anyway, if you don't know how to identify if a molecule is chiral or not, you don't deserve to pass you nigger
Correct
I never went to college and I make 100k+ a year working powerline
Construction. Best decision I’ve ever made was to get out of offices and into the fields, being a country boy in the city.
not always true
I have graduated and am started Med school in July. Not really protecting anything
dude nobody gives a fuck
Post a picture of your sperg girlfriend (or let's be honest boyfriend) and I will
so I say that OP's post is HS level shit, and your "college graduate" brain thinks the logical conclusion is I haven't gone to college? boy I really hope I never land on your operating table
This is chemistry for underaged b&. 3 marks. You're not even working with anything special, holy shit.
If they teach it in a general education course, it's because you never learned it in high school, or because they don't expect you idiots to remember.
You take it because you didn't get your general education.

To find the chirality center, you need to find the tetrahedral (sp3 hybridized) carbon. To find if it’s an S or R configuration, take all the atoms and give them priority based on the atomic number (higher atomic numbers get higher priority). Rotate the molecule to point the lowest priority towards the back (usually it’s the lone hydrogen), then take the rest on plane-level or coming outwards and see the direction of descending priority. If priority goes down in a clockwise pattern, it’s R. If counterclockwise, it’s S. Just did this for Organic chemistry over the summer in college. For everyone debating if it’s highschool or college, you can learn some of the same stuff in both places.
