welders should make a lot of money. hopefully you enjoy it enough and you learn a lot. that can help keep you motivated

I'm not sure what advice you're looking for exactly. It's a job, not a place to hang out and make buddies. Doesn't mean you can't be friendly, but always remember you're there for a check. As long as you always remember that, have goals and hobbies outside work it shouldn't be that bad.

Yeah, its the most money i've ever made. It's not an insane amount but with most trades you need experience to get great paying jobs. I like welding and want to make a career of it. I guess when I get used to working again it won't be so bad

Well how long have you been a NEET? I assume you have had some kind of welding training already.

I used to work for the sheet metal workers union. It was the second worst job I've ever had. I'm now a master mechanic and work for one of the largest powersports dealerships in the country. Honestly, my job is the only thing that keeps me sane. I'm unemployed now because of the rona and I'm bored out of my mind.

The trick with work is you have to do something that you really enjoy, or that is a means to get you towards where you really want to go in life

If you really get a kick out of welding or if you want to do amazing art or work on cars or something in the future, then this job will be fun as you do it more and learn new things about it

If this job wasn’t really anything you’ve actually considered and it just fell into your lap, then there’s a chance you could enjoy it but I’m not sure how long that would last

I worked at walmart in 2017 my first job, then my position got eliminated, so I did some sporadic work for my uncle(maybe working a 2 month last year all together) going out of town for a week and installing security systems, was making shit money and the work was too inconsistent . so I decided to go to school for welding about 6 months ago and just finished in feb and got my certification. so roughly about a year of not working a real job. I wasn't sure I was ready for a job, but my interview went well and the weld test looked great. so I guess they believe in me

Become a street neet. Live in a van, get internet from cell phone plan. Spange, fly signs for money.
All the pros of a job with none of the cons.

So you went to j0b corp or something

welding is dope youll do good man best wishes

>All the pros of a job
Except for the part where you make more than flying signs or spanging.

Getting a job now...RIP
Hope you don't have to work next or around or in a area that had other people in it.
Remember to have your family sue the company when you die.

I do enjoy welding and would like to learn all I can about, the different processes and welding different materials. My career plan I think would make me happy, is making enough money to start my own welding business probably mobile welding so I can get contracted for big money pipeline jobs.

Yeah thats one thing i'm looking forward to. Not being in your own thoughts 24/7 sitting at home. I guess if I absouletly hate the job for some reason it wouldn't be so bad once I have enough money saved to switch to something else, but I think ill like it.

Nah its like individual welding booths so I'll be by myself 90% of the time.

Thanks man, means a lot. Just hope I can adjust easily from not working for awhile

> kill myself everyday
Seek help.
I think you have been having that thought way before applying for a job

Its funny how you pretend to have any idea how much you can make flying signs and spanging. Its far more than a trade job i assure you. Now that i know what im doing, 100/hr isnt uncommon. Ive made 6 thousand in a weekend. No one around here is ready for the based bumpill though, you normies are way too brainwashed.

I don't want to kill myself now, just worried I might if I hate the job because I put a lot of eggs in one basket.

That's true, I have no idea.

I worry about that kind of thing all the time. I've been working the same job for 12 years because I'm afraid to make a change and hate it. It's reliable work and I like it, but there's no room for advancement. So kudos for jumping into something new.

Are you inside? if so i hope they have good air flow.
90% of the time is ok but it only takes 1 time.

You will.

From what ive seen at my weld test they gave me. atleast better than the trade school.

you'll be nervous but eventually you'll settle in and it'll help you approach other things better

you do know welding is one of the most labor intensive jobs right?
Your back is gonna be fucked.

eh, its not as bad as some trade jobs. But whos back isn't fucked eventually

Oh yeah and how the fuck would you know you arent even a welder yet. Post another thread in a month after youve given up.

Not related but is that the bitch from 13 reasons why?

>not as bad
You are gonna be crippled in 10-15 years.
I've been around welders and shops my whole life.
no one has a harder job then the welders.
