I think it was led by a small group of people near the top. They hired people based on identity and progressive political beliefs, pushed their agenda, and the pressure reached critical mass.

I don't have a problem with a transgender player character, but if they have her kill Ellie and then make you play as her... that's fucked. We'll see what happens in the actual game though, rather than what Twitter and Yas Forums *think* is going to happen.
Also, are we sure she's trans, or just a bodybuilder body shape? There are biological females that look like that.
