Let's say you believe X is good but then your country decides that X is bad. It's a completely harmless hobby to you and it's not causing trouble to those around you. Hell it might be even good for you. But now the state is aware that you haven't let go of X and they can follow you around to collect data about you that'd end up being used against you in court for doing X while a few old retards in a council thought it was bad because it was something new to them.

Better solution would be to just have a better and more efficient police force and soft drugs should be legalized and regulated. Whatever you do in privacy of your home shouldn't be anyone's business.

I've worked with security and collaborated with police. I've gotten to work as an undercover investigator for corporations and let me just be very clear, the government and specially the corporations don't care about you. They only tend to care for people that are actively paying their fees and/or are your brainless insta consoomers. Because that's what gonna pay for their employees.

Every single big tech company is directly subsidized by the federal government in a monumental way. We're alredy there. You can enjoy your civil liberties as long as the population is of no real threat to the Elites. If there were to be major rioting and the possibilty of a revolution, they'd track and trace, arrest and disrupt in a way you can't even imagine.
Forget any kind of organizing with the help of digital tools. You'd have to go underground, and even then it would be hard with advanced CCTV and drone surveillance. Atleast in US, UK, China and most of Europe.

They're already talking about having "passports" for travelling and working because of Covid19. Once such a system is in place, and people are used to it, the infrastructure can be used to limit people's movements and rights. It can be tied to your legal status, and also to a "social credit" system.

Let's just hope we don't end up there. For it to work, people have to first accept it and cops/military have to find it reasonable for them to carry it out. As in all revolutions, it's important to get these branches to turn against the government. If you are a cop/military, it's time you started questioning these things. If you know someone who is: try persuading them before it's too late.
