Germany is one of the few other federal republics in Europe so the system, aside from the chancellor/president part is very much what you already know, plus it got above average amount of guns for europe, similar with the swiss.

If you just want to live secluded scandinavia is a good pick but you can get away with that in a few other countries too. But places like the Netherlands and Belgium are off the table, its very densely populated.

Eastern Europe or rather the parts of eastern europe that used to be central europe are always underrated, a bit poorer but usually much richer in its own culture and not as monotonous as the western nations, if you really need extra wealth pick east germany for kind of a middleground.

go to scandinavia and you'll have to learn a language but also be treated second class. since they out themselves first, scandinavians next, europeans after and finally outsiders last.
plus moving there you'll need to be working a niche field they can't fill with scandinavians or europeans.

the whole of northern europe, uk, iceland and scandinavia is hard to travel to. try mainland europe and you'll have a better shot since they all mix, they're use to foreigners. plus your children will benefit so much more.
