I just built a $2500 PC and it won't even power up. I triple checked every possible cable and wire and everything is in its right place but when I press the power button absolutely nothing happens. What are my options besides chucking it in the dumpster behind my apartment complex or filling it with cockroaches and selling it on eBay?

take it in to the store you bough most parts from. have a service person check it. sometimes you just need a fresh set of eyes.

plug it in?

check power outlet is working?

check power supply output?

fucking THINK

did u make sure the mobo stand offs are screwed in fully? I've missed 1 before and had similar fustrations...

unfortunately, you have been filtered. your question is like asking "why won't my car start?"

Try the most random fix that has ever worked for me for the same problem, unplug ALL fans then see if it at least powers on

This might help

Have you tried turning off and back on?

moar of those hoes

I had that happen to me before and it was the power button on the case. Are you seeing any sign of power at all like leds on the mobo?

Use a screw driver to complete the circuit touching the power button pins.

Provide specs and a pic

Are you sure your front panel io is in the right spot? On my motherboard a serial connector looked identical and I plugged it in to that and was very frightened when it didn't power on.

Its a dead psu, if you have an old pc take the psu from that and see if it powers on

Did you plug it in?

Try jump start boot it with a screwdriver. If that works there's a problem between your pwrbtn pins and the actual case.

Make sure the mobo is mounted properly and grounded.

Post clear pictures here of your cable management etc so anons can actually see and try diagnose.

>wonders if OP spent the extra $5...

So there is this compound you can make called c4... not going to tell you how to make it but look it up.
Then fill entire computer case with it.
Switch on

Have you yelled at it? Called it a cunt? Threatened to bury it next to its own dog?

That usually works with my girlfriend.

This is the exact reason my builds have failed to power up before so I'd definitely recommend this. If not check the fuse.

looks like you just bought yourself a $2500 pain in the ass NIGGER

Mo of these hos?

did you even attach the power button to the fucking board? you can hotwire the board by touching a key to the two posts that the power button would connect to. just ground yourself on the case so you don't zap the board with too much.

in this pic it's the two posts next to PW.

First thing I thought but didn't think anyone could be that stupid lol

or something. now that i look at that, those are just LEDs i think. anyway, you attach the main cable from the power supply to the board, and then you attach the button to something like that. you only need the power supply to the board to at least try to power it on by hotwiring it.

Start by checking to power back to the MOBO.
Is there power at the....
Wall?
Power supply?
Coming out of the power supply?
etc

Leds and the power and reset buttons.

do this OP let's figure out if it's just, like, the switch or the way it's conneted.

You can try grabbing an old build that works and testing each component to see which of them works so you can replace only the parts that dont work
