I mean technically every pickup starts as a shiny new pickup...

The guys with a buncha shit in the back or business logos are usually very good drivers and chill

How many trucks will never haul anything heavier than garden supplies? How many Jeeps will never see anything more than a gravel road? How many 3/4 and 1 ton diesels will never tow a trailer? How many people buy Mustangs and Camaros with less than a V8 and an automatic?

It's all about the image the owner wants to project.

Also how does that make them a cunt? Just because you drive what you like, even if you don't use all the features of it, doesn't necessarily make you a cunt does it? Do you use every single feature of your car on a regular basis? Does driving anything other than what is literally required to get you from A to B make you a cunt? If you have a 4 seater but primarily don't have more than 1 other person in the car, are you a cunt?

My 2006 Sierra was shiney and new for about a week. The boss wanted me to get rid of some old pallets so I just started stacking them into the back of my truck. One of my co-workers saw me doing this and freaked out that I was destroying my brand new truck. "Umm no, I bought it to haul shit and I'm hauling shit right now so there."

God the masculinity of this post. You are so cool. How many Busch beer cans are in your bed?

Enjoy going to the gas station every 3 days and paying a $400 lease every month for a pile of junk you'll never use to its full potential. Unless your hauling furniture or doing construction. Whats the point of buying a pickup truck ? Does it stroke your ego ? Does it make it your dick feel bigger driving around a mechanical asshole that will lose 80% of its value in 3 years ?

Buying a truck is like most people who have a pool. It looks nice and costs a lot to keep up, and your neighbors and friends are going to want to use it more than you probably ever will.

I don't care about pickups but he has a point. You buy pickups for the bed. it's half of the car. you don't buy it just in case you might need it once. Also 4 seaters are less expensive than 2 seaters so that argument is just silly bad.

Canadian so it's Molson and none because they usually just bounce off since I installed a tonneau cover.

Or you buy it for the versatility of a bed vs a trunk. My truck seats 4 comfortably just like a car, has 4x4 to get me anywhere in inclement weather, has the power to tow if need be, and I can put stuff in the bed and cover it like a trunk, or if I need an open bed I can fold the bed cover back and haul over 1000 pounds of shit in it, and cost the same as a full size SUV that has a lesser towing capacity and you cant haul as much in the back.

When I was younger I wanted my first car to be an avalanche cause there was a tent and I love camping so much

My wife drives a 17 F150 5.0. We keep it absolutely spotless, detailed like it is showroom ready.

Here's a small list of things we use the bed for:

>Tree debris, logs
>Transporting large toolboxes
>Tractor parts
>Car parts
>Furniture
>Metal parts for fabrication (steel plates, aluminum bar)
>Soil, mulch, rocks, bricks, wood
>Tailgate is an outdoor workbench

We use the shit out of it. You would never know because I'm a professional detailer and keep everything we own spotless. Plus we added bed armor and LineX

I haul anything from tires to engines in mine.
tbh buying a brand new truck is not economical. you can buy a used one specifically for hauling heavy shit and use a new one for hauling a trailer/boat/etc

Pretty much this. Why buy a truck AND a car, pay to fill two different gas tanks AND pay for the insurance on two vehicles when you can buy one crew cab pickup that does everything? The other thing is that the gas mileage penalty for driving a truck isn't even that bad anymore. This is why the market for mid size and full size cars is shrinking and why sales of trucks and SUV's are taking over. People have also figured our that smaller CUV's offer a higher seating position and AWD for snow and inclement weather and still get 25-30 mpg which is why small cars are dying too.

It's literally the most versatile vehicle there is. Would you rather just carry a Swiss army knife or pay for each individual tool on it and not always have it on you? It has storage, 4x4, towing capacity, a high payload, and most get close in gas mileage to what a 4x4 SUV that tows less and has a trunk half the size gets. Is a good truck cheap, not usually, but if you can afford it there's literally no reason not to own a nice and capable one. Not talking about the people who do it for status, just in general it is a very versatile vehicle to own that will serve you many purposes in life if kept up well.

Yup. I have a 2012 1500 ram crew cab 4x4 with the hemi that tows like a feather, and the wife has a 2016 CR-V. Perfect blend. She averages 27mpg with 4x4 capability, and my truck can do anything else but pull a 5th wheel. Yeah we use her CR-V a lot more, but it's nice having the truck when you need it vs having to rent one or figure out some nigger rigged work around lol

>How many people buy Mustangs and Camaros with less than a V8 and an automatic?
every single nigger that "owns" one

Project? Who gives a fuck about that... people pick shit they think is cool to them not what is cool to others thats retarded.

I own a crew cab f250 diesel and fucking LOL. I can go about 2 weeks without filling up also fuel is just one part of ownership.. factoring in everything, loan/insurance/expected and unexpected repairs/maintenance the fuel is barely anything per year. Idk why people hyperfocus on just fuel when fuel costs is a small percentage of the yearly cost of vehicle ownership.

Also, pretty soon I will have my f250 paid off so it will be comparatively cheap as shit to own

Jesus. Fucking Christ.

You guys act like rental cars don't exist.

Get yourself a fucking sedan, and spend the money you save from gas, maintenance, and insurance on renting a truck IF you need it.

The real reason people buy trucks: brainlets that think a truck = adulthood.

You're all fucking stupid.

Bro, if we get in an accident my truck is going to win. Who gives a shit if you save 5 bucks per year.

>TFW not driving a semi in 2020

Tell me about it and rags who lift their trucks have loose assholes

Theres always a bigger fish

Not all. But I get your point.

For scale so I don't catch the as minnow, or a 6cyl can't pull shit.

Why would we get into an accident? Are you a shitty driver?

Have you noticed people on the road are fucking retarded? Doesnt matter if you are a good driver.

Either:

1. You're a skilled driver, so you don't need a truck.
2. You're a shitty driver, so the rest of us are better off if you don't drive a truck.
