-What med?
-why did you choose this path?
-How do you feel about COVID19?
moar pix of this grill plz
Do you think youre interesting?
1. How serious is athletes foot really? The area where my toes connect to the balls of my feet are splitting and while painful, I'm not sure it's a medical emergency.
2. I've been diagnosed with stage 2 hypertension and a slight arrythmia and it's decently controlled but everyday at about lunch time I flush really hard sometimes so much so that I will get dizzy. It's always at lunch if that helps.
surgery
loved the thought that i'd be able to take apart and put someone back together
COVID - pain in the ass for health care. likely being underreported and therefore mortality rate likely a lot lower
not because of medfag
but can be for other reasons
do you think you are?
Why do you eat babies?
1. shouldn't be serious unless you have some immunosuppression which would allow a bacterial superinfection. get some lotrimin, if not allergic
2. could be due to a medication peaking in your blood around that time or your cortisol level could be off - should be highest in AM. or, could be due to something dietary setting you off - caffeine etc
where is your tik tok video?
i wasn't aware that i did
Been having a sharp pain in my right side just below my ribs when I lay down and twist to roll over. Have been a heavy drinker, particularly under quarantine. I’ve heard this could be pancreatitis or maybe a kidney stone. Really don’t want to go into a doctor until covid goes away or it’s clearly dangerous, any input?
What makes you interesting?
most likely musculoskeletal in nature - intercostal muscles, rib/joint junction pain, pinched nerve (they run on the rib undersurface). given that it's worse w/ a motion.
i'm guessing you're out of shape?
lay off the drinking. drink plenty of water, go for a walk and do some light stretching.
i'm not some normal nerdy medfag who has no other interests and thinks that everyone should be babied.
can talk about a lot of different things
well read
work out 5x/week
work with my hands building things
write music
multiple other things
but still
make some for some vidya and Yas Forums
Wow that really is interesting, thanks for making an ama thread
Yes, it felt like it was a muscle in my back a few months ago having a spasm. But it has moved over to my side. It’s been quite awhile though and not getting better. I’ve quit drinking and will try out stretching, but I’ve never had anything muscular last for months.
What could be wrong with my butthole. It is always bleeding. Doesn't hurt. But I'm concerned
you're welcome
i'm not a back guy
if you're having loss of sensation or function in legs, butt area, etc. that's an emergency.
could be kidney (don't know exactly where you're talking) - look for blood in urine. drink plenty of fluids. avoid aspirin, motrin etc.
do light bodyweight core work - planks etc as tolerated
that looks like you're into nipple clamps
what are these spots? theyre on my arms and legs how do i get rid of them?
>works with medicine
>comes on Yas Forums of all places
>gets bombarded with medical issues
Good job, mate.
I got the same shit Yas Forumsro, all my life. Use a good moisturizer like Cetaphil and it will make them a little better, but they'll always be there. FYI, I'm 35.
not a derm guy but i think it's called
dermatosis spiralis or something like that due to the histologic features
gentle exfoliation in the shower
use a moisturzier - Amlactin (sp?) - has lactic acid in it
if not working, see derm
hardly bombarded
more interesting than most of the net
I dunno mate, you sound like a big fucking nerd bro.
If you had any real interests outside of being a doctor you would not have picked surgery. It's why I didn't.
ED guy here.
>Pic related, one of my two project bikes
I can tell you are in surgery. Don't give people any non surgical advise. A heavy drinker is complaining about pain in his right side when laying down, and you are telling him about cauda equina compression? You have got to be clinically retarded.
To the guy with the pain. If it has been months now without relief, musculoskeletal etiology is unlikely. Given you've been a heavy drinker, I suspect it's liver pathology, maybe cirrhosis or at worst HCC. You should get some bloodwork done and maybe ultrasound.
i can tell you're in ED
glorified triage nurse
learning to dial specialists should be a rotation for you
ED guy here.
If you listen to the shitty history then it suggests MSK cause.
Providing medical advice over text is futile anyway.
Fucking surgeons lmao. They're just apes with scalpels. Don't ever turn to them for general medical advice.
The condition is called keratosis pilaris, and it's unharmful
fucking nerd who makes double, or more, your salary
LMAO
plus, unlikely you could have matched as a surgical subspecialist.
top 1% here
not some lowly shiftfag
again, not dermfag
Neurology resident. But please keep giving people with side aches information aboud spinal cord laesions, you absolute fucking inbred retard. Nothing in his story even remotely suggests cerebrospinal pathology.
what's your field, medfag?
Just get me a his creat and gfr. I'll run a 3 phase liver for you, doc. Let the radiologist tell you what's wrong with him.
just warning him of neuro complications
go back to babinski'ing someone's foot, neurofag
I'm not a dermatologist or gastro-enterologist either. But this is basic medical knowledge.
I wouldn't expect you to understand either condition, as you can't cut them out, and thus it is not interesting to you.
Women are really only good at 1 thing. Being sexy as fuck. I dont wanna anything i just wanna point that out.
you're right
i have no interest in just prescribing lotion to someone
i have way too much talent to waste giving creams
If money was what you wanted then you could have done so many other things, dude. The intelligence and work ethic it takes to be a surgeon is transferrable into so many other fields.
Don't get it twisted here. You're just a fucking nerd with an ego, desperate to prove yourself.
So much talent you can't even diagnose one of the most common skin conditions.
I'm not interested in prescribing lotions either, so I won't. But I do know what condition it is and how to treat it. It's general medical knowledge, you should try obtaining some if you are so talented.
and that's why i have 2 other businesses on the side as well as my day job
because there's so much more i can supplement with my income and do
isn't it time to "sign out" your patients?
GTFO
what was the biggest object you ever had inside your ass?
so how is it treated?
Aight OP
Nurse fag here!
So in 2016 I got a traumatic brain injury (TBI) from a car accident, I got hit back left of my skull in the occipital area.
Was a full out potato in hospital for a chunk, and I've been able to return to life and have been back to "normal" since.
One on going Issue I still have from the accident is erectile dysfunction. I received no spinal damage nor damage to my pelvic area.
My heart is fine and my testosterone levels are fine.
I was told that this can be an issue from TBIs and can last anywhere from 3-5 years.
>> tl;dr can you think of anything I can do to not go limp after like 10 min of action that's not just Viagra?
these two medfags above
Is "sign out" an American thing?
It's starting to get confusing, but I'm the ED guy with a motorbike. I don't need money, don't want money.
I want a stable job and plenty of time to enjoy doing whatever else I want outside of medicine. But what about you? What drives you?
Social status and a bank account?
ask neurofag above
he knows everything
Neurology bro!
Lotion with ureum or salicylic acid, they're keratolytic agents.
I really wanna see how the surgeon solves this.
Bro, you're gonna need thicker skin than that to make it as a surgeon.
yes, they "sign out" their patients and walk away
i have a stable job, great hours (outside of call), family, wife, kids, 2 other businesses, numerous interests, travel several times a year
i'm not at all consumed by my job
people assume that of surgeonfags
not the case in the least
oh, you're into gay gangbangs. did they take turns or was it doubleanal?
...or AmLactin - as I noted.
thanks
i'm a surgeon too. i could put a metalstick inside your cock so you are always titanium hard.
very nice
It's actually rather hard to tell you why you've been having this problem after a traumatic brain injury. It's good that you know the spinal cord is alright. What diagnostic work-up have you had post-trauma? MRI-scan of the brain and spinal cord or just a regular CT-scan of the head and maybe cervical spine?
There's pretty much two options. The occipital area has nothing to do with erectile dysfunction. The frontal lobes however play a big part in motivation, behaviour and desires. As such, it's also a main contributor to sexual desire and functioning. In some cases after severe TBI, you see contrecoup injuries of the brain. In occipital trauma, that would be a frontal contusion. These are not always visible during initial CT workup.
The other option is a more functional etiology, where the nervous system itself is not damaged, but the injury itself has left some mental trauma that limits your ability of having a lasting erection. In that case a psychologist or sexologist would be better to sort you out.
