How many of you actually know someone infected with Covid-19?

I don't know anyone infected and neither do my friends.

For the record, I'm not claiming this is a hoax or any right wing bullshit(everything has to be right vs left, doesn't it? jesus) but considering how big the impact is with everything shutting down etc etc wouldn't you think everyone would know multiple people affected by this?
So, how many of you personally know someone who is or has been infected with Covid-19?

I don't

not a singleone
or one of my internetfriends said he knew a 60year old man died because of it but yeah....

My neighbors have it right now. The pastor at my church has it as does a good number of the congregation. Pretty much all my republican friends are sick too. I plan to stay in and live off my survival stockpile till this blows over

About 20 cases locally in my area. Buddies uncle is one who recently died at 56. rip

>(((their))) news media outlet told them, it must be so!

nope

Okay dude... yeah

I've had it myself (Not completely sure, but spent a week sleeping with fever and have been out of breath for weeks), know multiple people who have had it and my grandpa died from it.

Fuck people who don't think it's real, and fuck people who think it has anything to do with 5G.

My former PhD supervisor died from it, as has the family member of a close friend. Both in London, UK.

I don't. It's actually pretty unlikely that you would, unless you live in a hot spot or know a ton of people.

My state has 12.8 million people and ~41,000.cases -- that adds up to .3% percent of the population.

One person and he works in hospice care, literally the worst place for this shit. Other than that... everything seems fine

2 neighbors died from it, and 4 family members have it. 1 went to hospital has been there 3 weeks. Other 3 no symptoms. And from people i know/ work with almost everyone of them has someone who has or had it. But im in New York so shit has hit the fan here compared to some other states.

My girlfriend has it, has been sick for a week.

My brother died from it. He was 40 and healthy apart from smoking weed for years.

i know 3.
a coworker of mine ( who died)
my grampa's brother (who died)
my cousin ( who recovered)

forgot ot mention, i live in milan, italy, probably one of the hottest spots.

my entire family died of covid

I know the patient zero in my country

Wife currently recovering from it, my Father's neighbour died last week from it.

As another user said, the impact is still "low", less than 0.3%. Moreover, it's not homogeneous among the population, so you either live in a hotspot or you probably don't know anybody who got it.
Btw, I personally know 4 people who got it, a couple in their 40s that recovered, the father of a friend in his 70s that died, and a friend who's 32 and that it's currently sick, but not critical.

My wife had it ( she'a a doctor). Me and my kid had as well but didn't get tested

I personally know 5, of them 1 already died and one more is incritical conditions. the risk is real!

wish u all the best user, stay safe from Ireland

Coworker's father died of it, that's the only one I know.

thanks user

I died from it for 2 min 14 sec and they resurrected me but when i came to 5 days later, my fucking dick was gone.

>70 year old man dies of respiratory infection
That shit happens all day, every day; all around the world, regardless of pandemic status.

Sorry, I just remembered that we also got announcements that at least 2 people in our office building had it, and they were dispatching special teams to disinfect their offices.

We are all working from home now, so no personal impact.

Three deaths in my family. Two were old (still fucked up, we couldn't even do a proper funeral) and one of them was 40 years old. Died alone in the hospital as his daughters weren't allowed to visit him

My wife's best friend has it, currently in the hospital, friend of mine showed symptoms but they wouldn't test because it wasn't 'serious enough'. He's basically recovered so very possible he just had a cold or something.

There was a guy below my balcony coughing up fluid to the point that he left a puddle of it after he left, pretty clearly pneumonia, but obviously I don't know that's COVID or something else. He's gotta be dead, refused to get medical treatment despite basically drowning in the street.

The problem with corona is that it spread like wildfire.
Even if the overall mortality rate is in the ~1% range, more than 20% require hospital care. If hospitals don't work anymore, congrats, you got yourself a 20% mortality rate

My sister, her husband and 3 of my friends all have it, and those are only the ones that have been tested, I know plenty of people with symptoms who haven't been able to be tested

You're conflating mortality with comorbidity.
>stop it
