>$20,187
That’s how much I made working full time on an ambulance last year. What should I do?

$10.50 an hour? That's fucking sad.
Word that's almost how much a single ride in an ambulance costs in the US. They don't want to pay you because that means a billionaire might not make as much money.
I knew I was getting paid shit but today I heard some nurses talking about striking for more money and their salaries are in the 50ks.
What do you mean what should you do? Move country or get another job.
Those are your options.
work harder i guess. maybe do some overtime?
Get a job at McDonalds.... I hear they’re paying $15
But I live in America
pick up a trade like a real man plumbers make bank
lol... he knew that when he took this job. and yet he still did. he thought working in emergency services would be more fulfilling or maybe more valued.
anyway, fast food workers are 'essential' now too, and they're basically in the line of fire
Yeah my sister has about same job. Get out right now. She's fucked up in the head now, broke, and her back is broken. Go back to school, work at mcdonalds, anything. Would not recommend.
start growing weed, you're in US, ffs.
Well there's your clue about what to do
Were not allowed to have unions
well he's not gonna strike... he's a free man, an individual
I’ve been doing this 5 years though
EMT-B? EMT-A? I got my basic as a way to get a job to get experience to go to PA school. Took me 5 years from only having a Bachelor's degree in lib arts to getting into a program (I was 28 when I decided to go for PA). If you have experience as a medic, you might get prefer re ntial treatment for some PA programs. If you can stand medicine, I'd recommend becoming an RN (get a BSN but go through a community college for as many classes as possible for cost sake). Then you can go PA or CRNA or NP. You'll make good money as an RN, more than a medic, and being a dude in nursing exposes you to a lot of decent potential pussy.
Learn how to negotiate on interviews better, apply for a similar position at more pay. Then when they call references negotiate at current employment for more money if they want to keep you.
You should have found a better career. I'm about to enter a recession-proof industry that grows every year and will never stop. I dont even need to think about finances
Move countries.
Srsly. In the rest of the western world unions are proctected and mandatory by law.
US is such a third world shithole if ur not rich.... Jump ship while u can.
Dude just become a doctor or get the fuck out of that industry.
>a recession-proof industry that grows every year and will never stop
Like what, exactly?
leave. more jobs for the rest of us.
I meant become a nurse, but I can see how you drew that conclusion
Water and wastewater engineer
>>a recession-proof industry that grows every year and will never stop
>Like what, exactly?
Unemployment
You aren't familiar with what it takes to get into med school or PA school or the cost-benefit of MD vs PA. Besides, it's likely that there will be an increasing number of PA to MD or DO programs in the future.
XD
he's right? those people deserve financial support? and keep the fucking economy going? and ensure that ppl seeking careers aren't locked out?
Ok
Sorry that entire job line sounds like shit to me
glad you get it
Move to a country where medical workers get paid properly.
Get better material
haha what you talking about the market solves it
sorry you're upset
yep. efficiency.
Just some advice
undepaid medical staff = efficiency
hell yeah, brother. what do we need morals and judgment for when we can just rely on the magic of the markets?
the market is decentralized and smarter than you. so, yeah
>the market is decentralized
