I don't get it. What's wrong with hoard buying?
People who buy 10 packs won't need to buy any more for the next 10 weeks.
People who buy only 1 pack will need to return for more every week.
If anything, hoarders are doing the public a favor because they'll be at the store less often. Fewer people in the store = shorter lines.
I don't get it. What's wrong with hoard buying?
Yeah it's weird that they tell us to stay home for weeks on end but also tell us to not hoard stuff.
Though I suppose ordering online and having it delivered to your doorstep is a thing. But what if you live in a nigger-infested area and don't want your shit stolen?
The problem is distribution and restocking. The typical supply chain and economics haven been steady or at least reliably patterned for a long time, but when a panic happens, the shelves empty in a few hours and it can take days to restock what was a weekly revolving cycle. Then when more panic buying keeps happening, it takes weeks for the supply chain to adjust. This leaves many people without the products and few with months worth.
Hoarding seems sensible from an individual or family perspective, but on a larger societal perspective it is unethical and leads to social unrest.
Think bigger, think long term, think about consequences. Most Americans only think about themselves and only for the next few hours to maybe a couple days. Long term planning is not in our culture as consumers.
Stores only keep in stock a week or 2 of supply (except for maybe Costco) and of people start buying 10 packs of anything, the store is gonna run out 10x quicker
Look at those cans of beans. That's why all the TP
All the hoarders will do is rip through their supplies and have to go buy more, rather than keeping an actual stockpile.
Ethics don't exist on "larger societal perspective". This is SJW level retard thinking. There is no such thing as "social" justice. Justice and morality only apply to human individuals, nothing else.
Who the fuck goes through an entire pack of tp in a week? Do you guys eat taco bell three times a day? Chronic medical condition?
I bought a six pack in February and I still have one roll left. People are disgusting.
I only buy when there is a great sale. Always have a 3 month supply in my house. Same with bleach, sale for $1.00 a gallon last year, bought 20.
Example:
The store has 100, they restock every week.
10 shoppers shop. 2 buy 50 each and 8 buy nothing.
10 items last a week, two people are good for 5 weeks.
8 people are fucked for 1 week, when the hoarders could've bought 10 and everyone gets 10 for 1 week.
In reality though, it's more like 1000 product, 10,000 customers, assholes buying 200-500.
Its simple 1st grade math op. You weird spook.
In my opinion everything is pretty much the same. The only thing that has changed is having to wear mask in my workplace. In terms of grocery shopping, we had everything we needed. Sure, there was a lot of empty shelves for about a week or two max but now all stores are completely restocked and allowing you to buy as much as you can. I can't speak for you guys because life has pretty much returned to "normal".
I think one roll for 10 days per person may be average. I'm not a big shitter tho
U bought six toilet rolls and still have one left? 5 rolls in 2 months? Lol you must not wipe properly.
It's not like people are shitting more cause of the Rona.
Costco Triple Satin bog roll = best toilet paper for quality and value. You cannot prove me wrong.
I have my own bathroom. A roll lasts me 7 to 10 days. This includes cum clean up. I do buy the multi ply Merican stuff tho
Take one square of toilet paper, fold it over so it's 4 ply, and wipe with it. Repeat as necessary. But apparently there are some people who haven't relearned using toilet paper since kindergarten and think taking an arm's length of TP and 'wadding' it into a pile is a valid wiping technique for an adult.
Wastefull motherfuckers
Bidet master race is looking down on all you toilet paper savages.
OK Captain Colon. I only need 1-4 squares. 100 squares a roll. And I usually don't shit more than once a day.
Having muddy diarrhea all the time isn't healthy. Maybe consider talking to a health professional once the wu flu is over, fatass.
Back in Cuba toilet seats are rare. No spending an hour in there when you have to hover. TP was some tiny roll from Vietnam. You fat ass Mericans have it good when it comes to shitting.
Yea kinda same here, except I can't find yeast which sucks because I made bread for fun before all this shit. Some morons probably thought there would be no more bread and fucked up every loaf they tried, realized it's not easy, gave up and now it will all go unused.
fuck hoarders that can't use the shit they panic bought.
>But what if you live in a nigger-infested area and don't want your shit stolen?
AKA anywhere in america
Morality applies to individuals, ethics is the extension of moral thinking to our interactions with others.
Morality and ethics have been discussed and debated much longer than "SJW level retard thinking" has been a pseudo-political talking point.
There are very practical reasons to behave ethically even if you feel no moral obligation to do so. I trust that someone with your stunning intellect would be able to think of a few.
I think it's more that people have no idea how little they actually need to purchase in order to limit their shopping to twice a month.
based
i have had hand towels stolen from my front porch. I still dont know how to deal with the fact someone thought they hit the jackpot and ended up getting big kleenex's
I don't see the point in hoarding yeast as their expiration date is more or less a year so unless someone is planning on eat bread for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I would not purchase those in bulk amounts.
There is a difference between hoarding and buying in bulk.
Hoarding means you get more than you can possibly use. Like in the tv show hoarders.
Now close your stupid thread.
The problem is that the shops work on a just-in-time delievery system, your local shop wouldn't usually have any spare stock due to this means of operation.
I by all means am not saying that it's wrong, fuck the majority and fuck the corperate cunts for being stupid enough to not be stocked up for occassions like this, I'll buy as much of what-ever as I can, it's their fault for not being stocked, it's the masses fault for not being prepared enough, it's the lazy fucks fault for not waking up early enough, every man to themselves, all hands on deck.
I'm not sure if I'm jealous or I pity those who find their lives haven't changed with the lockdowns.
Wait no, I'm sure I pity them. How pathetic their lives must be if this is normal for them.
