They were killed before they started pride. They do this BECAUSE they get killed. BECAUSE they cant walk with their partner without fear of getting beaten or killed. Pride is them standing up to the people that would be them down. Pride is them not giving up on their loves and the people they want to love. Put yourselves in the shoes of someone who wants to love but fears for their life simply because of the way they were born. Life isnt so easy and simple to figure out, ESPECIALLY when you obviously havent put any thought into why or how this movement exists. Its bigger than you, and far more inportant that you realise. Life i know is strange. But if youre born straight you dont have to fear walking down the road holding your girl, imagine fearing holding hands with your girlfriend in publoc because you dont want to be killed, but want to be able to show affaffection for someone just like everyone else. We are all human and just want to feel safe.

The misuse of terminology annoys me, for example "Pride" being gay or anything just because is not what pride is, pride is taken from accomplishment through work and effort.
Another that gets me is anything ending in "phobic" for example I am not homophobic, I am not scared of the gays, ect.
