Survivability of metastasized cancer in the liver that was detected early? Asking for a friend. It came back and now they’ve gotta do chemo again.
Is the primary tumor in the liver or are you speaking about liver mets? Do you know the particular (sub)type. Generally, recurrence isn't a good sign.
What's your focus on specifically? Also have you seen any reliable QM/MD simulations for cancer propagation?
Started as breast cancer. They were operated on to remove, then went into chemo. It must’ve went into remission because it was gone for a while. Then they had fluid in the lungs and did some tests which showed cancer in the liver and I think somewhere in the chest.
Why is your field so boring you have to post a neuro image?
how much money do you make and how old are you
I primarily do basic research. Mostly (epic)genomics.
QM/MD simulations are several layers to low in the molecular hierachy for effective simulation of tumor progression. You can use it to model the behaviour of certain protein isoforms which occur in a tumorogenic context though.
The rainbow system is just awesome. Sorry not sorry.
I am in my mid 30s and make 50k a year in large east coast city. Kids, don't become scientists.
A lump appeared in my back. About where my left kidney is I guess, maybe 3"to the left of my spine. It feels hard and hurts when I poke it. It first appeared maybe 8 months ago, and I don't think it's changed since then. Between amateur guesswork and Google I concluded it's more likely to be a cyst than cancer so I never went to the hospital. Could it be cancer?
32 male. Used to drink a lot but don't anymore.
Epigenomic. Not epicgenomics. Sorry.
How do we cure Yas Forums?
I've read that some PTM's in histones have been linked to some cancers. Is there any specific one that you've noticed come up more often?
It's about 11 years too late for that
Where is it located depth wise? Below the skin? Below the muscle?
Anyway, I would have it checked it out.
The histone code is complex as fuck and there are quite a few PTMs linked to cancer. However, they are not unique or specific biomarkers for cancer but instead related to processes linked with cancer. E.g. open chromatin in regions which are normally closed, DNA damage pathways etc.
It's deep enough that I only notice it in certain positions, like I can't feel it with my fingers if I'm leaning back, but if I lean forward I can feel it clearly with my fingers and feel it clearly enough that it hurts pressing against a back of a chair or something. I guess that means below the skin? It's probably bigger than a pea and smaller than a marble.
Is it easily movable?

Mmhmm...
Hey OP, can you check this?
Not op, But she's dead.
Does big pharma influence your field in any way/ and the kinds of research that is funded?
it is true that government hide the cure for cancer?
Give it to me straight, doc...
How bad is the cancerousness on this board?
What can be done?
Is it operable?
Or should we....
*squeezes eyes shut*
*bows head*
... terminate the patient....?
It moves a little I guess but mostly my finger just rolls over it while I attempt to push it around
