It would take too much. In order to bury the old way of reasoning, one would have to first accept that one has had shit ideas and poor reasoning, then abandon the old ways of doing things, and adopting new ways of doing things. That is really really hard for an individual to do. Usually, it only occurs with various revolutions. Otherwise, changing a whole populations way of doing something takes generations.
