What is the best country flag?

Brazil, South Korea, Vatican, South Africa.
The other ones have a flag made excessively simple with repetitive color schemes, they don't really stand out.
The Japanese cities flags are great too.

Flags SHOULD be simple. A child should be able to draw it. Brazil's fucking sucks. It's got words on it and is basically impossible to replicate easily. Bad design.

It's a very hard choice. But there are many flags that are too complicated to recreate so they get less points for that.
I really like the flags of Austria-Hungary, House of Romanov flag and The Holy Roman Empire.

Georgia's flag is the old one. South Sudan is not here. Malaysia is fucked up for some reason. Puerto Rico became a country? Myanmar changed their flag. The Gambia has a fucked up flag that I've never seen before. Switzerland is way too thin. That's just a few mistakes here.

Yes I know, but nobody gives a shit about the specific positions, unless you're making an official flag or a precise copy, you can optionally draw/paint it without the stars and the phrase for the sake of minimalism, usually there's no reason on why you'd need to paint it yourself, when was the last time you've had to paint your nation's flag yourself? You just buy it or print. And if you work manually painting it, you'd probably have the material to make it quick

That's precisely the point. A well designed flag doesn't require you to make those sacrifices.
