I think the lung scarring only happens if they put you into a respirator which forces air into your lungs and that could cause tearing. a lot of people recover from it though and it's not really life long. But those respiratory issues happen mainly to people who already have some lung complications. OP is probably going to be fine.

secondly, hospitalisation rate is around 20%, and even if its lower, its still way higher than what health services can support, you need to shut the country down so hospitals can support the fewer people that need ventilators etc and keep the recovery rate up. if the hospitals couldnt support anyone the recovery rate definitely wouldnt be anywhere near 98%

The numbers are basically pointless to reference unless a huge majority if the population is tested. 33% deathrate of a virus that mostly only the sick are getting tested for. Some serum sample studies have indicated that around 3-5% of the population is already infected, most with no symptoms. Which would actually put the death rate at around 0.5% or lower. Seems low but it still is about 5x more deadly and spreads 3x faster than seasonal flu.
