Dude, quit entertaining his bogus claims. The "near death experience" myth was debunked years ago. Studies have shown that when the body is subject to a deadly/fatal amount of damage, DMT is released, therefore creating hallucinogenic-type thoughts and visions amongst the one suffering the near death experience. I've read up on these studies as well. To further elaborate, the reason the body releases DMT in these situations is due to a primal defense mechanism that acts as a suppressant to dangerous external stimuli. It's almost the brain's way of making your body go limp in order to suffer the least amount of damage possible. It has 100% been proven and anyone who says otherwise is misinformed.

It's not so much that I'm obsessed with the suicide narrative. It's that I'm obsessed with getting people who make bogus claims to actually prove their claims with scientific proof, instead of with their personal values and opinions. As you can see, OP's friend has been unable to produce any actual evidence that supports his claims, and forcing a heavy burden such as suicide onto him is one way to get him to admit he's an idiot, or just admit he can't properly prove his claims. It's a good way to get people to stop thinking/acting like morons.
