Hi everyone.
I was wondering if there is a device to jam smartphone frequencies available to buy. I don't need it to affect the phone, i just need to block the connection. Ideally it will be portable or 12v and with a range of at least 30m. I need it to work 100% of the cases, even through a few walls.
Does anyone know a device? Or how to build it?

Yes, there are such devices, but they are illegal, and having one with you would land you some serious trouble.
It's a pretty simple device: it just needs to spam noise in a couple frequencies.
What do you need it for?
If you consider the risk worh it (and it's a pretty big risk! they are detected as soon as you turn them up...), probably the best way of getting one would be buying any software-defined-radio device, and doing some coding.

cell phone jammers exist. theyre expensive and illegal in many countries. at the height of pokemon go, a local business owner put one in the bushes after people kept trashing his patio. got busted, went to jail for a few days and got a huge fine. i hope its worth it for what youre doing.

It needs to be powerful enough to cover the cell tower signal in the area you intend to jam.
That's not too much power, but it's more than what a phone emits, so cell towers can easily pick it up, and have a rough (~50m, depends on conditions) idea of where the device is.
So... I hope whatever you want to do with it, it's fast and you get out soon.
Don't be dumb and carry your own phone with you when you do it, though.

The cell towers will pick up the interference just like the cell phones. The telecom company can use this to triangulate the position of the interference using the position of the receiver & angle of the signal (determined by which antenna is picking up a higher signal strength).

Everyone keeps asking OP why he needs one. I think it’s pretty clear that he is either planning to murder or rape someone, which, OP - if you’re reading this - when you get caught, simply having a jamming device is irrefutable proof that what you’re planning to do was premeditated, increasing your sentence to another 15-20 years. Seems sketch as hell and you have to pay through through western union. But I’ve bought 2 of the bigger ones that knock out regular cell, 3G, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. they’d take out my entire building. When my neighbors were talking over Skype super loud at I’d click it on just long enough to end their call. It’s more annoying to have hope the connection may become steady than to resign to the fact there’s no internet.

EMI is everywhere and for a small point source they won’t really care much. Now, an entire neighborhood may be a problem, but a house or two? Not likely. Use it intermittently and you’ll be fine.
