Im using my time in lockdown to plan my first tattoos

im using my time in lockdown to plan my first tattoos.

some questions for you inkedfags;

i know what i want and have designed a few of my ideas on paper, but im not artist, so essentially i still need the tattoo artist to polish up my sketches. how much does this cost? is design included in the price of getting the tattoo?

im quite picky, i doubt the artist with interpret my sketches or capture the aesthetic im going for first time, do artists get pissed off if you keep say 'nah sorry its close but not there, what if we move that part up 5cm and make these lines thicker'? and is this common in the design phase or will i have to pay for the adjustments?

iv sat in on friends getting inked before and they just sorta turn up like 'yeah that looks fine slap it on'.
i cant be that casual about something thats gonna be on my body for life hahah its gotta be spot on.

Best advice I can give you is find a tattooer who’s style and vibe of work you are into and give them the green light to have fun with your design.
If you can’t find an artist your into then I would suggest not getting tattooed because this day in age there is an artist for every style and if that’s still not going to do it for you then there is pretty well no chance you or the tattooer will have a pleasant experience

Best advice I can give you is.

Tatoos are not cool anymore. If you want to pay for something no one gives a shit about, that's your choice.

Do you only do things that other people give a shit about?

What's the purpose of a tattoo if you're not an attention whore?

You just gonna stand in front of the mirror and be like "yeah, I'm badass"

Everybody has a tattoo these days and 90% regrets

Because you like how it looks on you? Not everyone is as desperate for attention as you.

You could: Read a classic book. Learn a new skill. Brush up on mathematics. Fix up your home. Take up a relaxing hobby. Practice a musical instrument. but no, OP is a fucking faggot like always. OP is planning how to desecrate his body and look like a former prisoner, which he thinks is cool, but makes him look like an asshole to everyone else. Be sure to come back here after getting your tats, and complain about how you don't have a g/f and can't find a job.

>how much does this cost? is design included in the price of getting the tattoo?
its included, i suggest finding a tattoo artist locally you like on Instagram and dming them, ask about their availability then one of two things will happen, theyll offer either a consultation or an appointment

>1) if they offer a consultation
at the consultation youll show them your ideas, youll both mutually agree on something and theyll draw it up either then, between the consultation and your appointment, or at your appointment. you will schedule your appointment then go on to...
>2) the appointment
youll talk about the design, theyll either have it ready or quick draw it up then. adjustments are almost never an extra charge and 90% of artists wont mind changing a few things but they will eventually get annoyed at multiple requests.
remember tattoo artists are basically customer service workers, they will be nice and work with you to get your money but will eventually get annoyed and talk shit about you to their co workers behind your back.

also stop saying shit like "inked" it makes you sound like a fruit and no one with alot of tattoos says that shit
