Underrated albums thread
i met janick a few years ago in costa and told him that this album is the best comeback album ever and shook his hand
I also fucking love Dance of Death. It is waay better than 90's Iron Maiden.
I dont CARE if the bass was deleted, this album puts a real smile on my face!
FUJII: Euphoria
That's a terrific argument.
Thanks took me all lunch to think of that one.
>that one.
>one
An album before they became pussies
You sunnova bitch...
The final cut Plink Floyd
Kruiz - russian, but it's a piece of gold and rarely seen
This album reeks of post-Wall theatrics. People just wanted them to get louder and louder.
Unfortunately, any Buckethead album is underrated. I love his music, he is a fucking genius.
Well, they did and they created a dark ass album that got too dark and went extinct
I totally agree!
It's mostly just one long, gay, vocally driven, self-congratulatory, recycled idea. It's definitely Pink Floyd's worst, most redundant album. Also the lyrics fucking suck, coming from such a band.
Buckethead is a huge meme. He doesn't even have one good album.
I've been enjoying Electric Wizard's 2014 album Time to Die. I think it was poorly received simply because no one knew about it.
Fields of the Nephilim Elizium.
underated.... it was one of the best reveived albums by fans and non fans at the time.
actually reminds me of maiden ..Like some kind of gay goth version of the band
They're nothing like Maiden. Drumming style, bass style, guitar style and especially singing style are very different. The only similarities are they have the same instrumentation and occult themes. It's like saying Nirvana is just a punky version of Motley Crue. Learn your genres pal.
I love Iron Maiden but why do people keep calling their stuff underrated?
They're old now but they've always been really popular as far as metal bands go.
No, the guitars (especially rhythm) and song structure are clearly borrowed from iron maiden's. Even the delivery of the singing is similar, despite not being as aggressive. The breakdowns are identical. The vamping is identical. Also, the scales and melody are similar.
Fans and non fans are generally more interested and infatuated with albums like Powerslave or Seventh Son or Number of the Beast, or the pre-Bruce era, or even Somewhere in Time. I don't think many consider Brave New World to be a valuable Iron Maiden Album, today.
Fuck yeah these guys rule
completely not true. their post 2000 output holds up on it's own to any of their other eras.
I do not think any of those albums are as good as the albums I named, and for the last couple albums, I think he's been losing his voice.
Just checked the tracklist on this; I agree.
I like a number of tracks on Somewhere more than these, but I like more tracks on this. Navigator and Dreams of Mirrors are sick
