Went to Auckland for a week last year & went on a daytrip to Rotorua, it was nice, countryside was a lot greener than what I'm used to (ausfag here)

I’m in Auckland but have lived more central north island for the first 17 years if my life. There’s no protesting going on, it’s just a pretty chill place to live. I’m also Maori, there is some racism in either direction, but it’s not as bad as the states. Maori tend to live in lower socioeconomic areas and those areas produce shit people regardless of racial background. Unless you move to a shitty area, it won’t matter what race the person you meet is if they’re born and bred here, they’ll be chill
